Juani's ear twitched as he heard cats screeching, one sounding eerily like Koko.

He raced on, tail lashing and eyelights dimming as he raced deeper into the woodland.  The shade the trees leaves provided progressively got dimmer as more of the canopy was vanishing.  Juani could smell the scent of ash and blood.  Familiar with Koko's scent and the scent of the other cat gradually coming into focus.

He knew the other cat, he probably fought them before.  He couldn't quite pin his nose on it as he leapt through bushes to expose a grey cat, said cat had a darker grey thick stripe that seemed to stretch over their shoulders across their sides to their hips and theighs, and a light underbelly.  Fire blazed away from her paws, as the red tipped on her tail near her bright grey tip was made apparent.

Koko was pinned down by said cat, his black fur and rose-red eyes being tinted by the gold of the sun as the foliage was dispersed.  "Please!  We can talk about this!" Koko yowled to the other cat, tears rolling down his cheeks.  "NO! I'll never forgive you for what you did that day!" The other cats claws seemed to sink into Koko's pelt as she flicked her tail with flames following suit.

Juani stared with round-eyes as she lifted up a paw, slowly as she glared into Koko's soul.  Juani could faintly scent the fear in Koko as she was getting ready to slash down.  Juani felt his paws suddenly move and claws unsheathe as he raced towards the other cat.  His grey pelt and emerald green eyes shimmered and shaded with gold as he raced towards the other cats.

His eyes flamed with anger as he leapt for her, as his weight slammed into her she looked into his direction, hissing.  She raised paws to rake at him as he slashed his claws into her shoulders, having pounced on her from the side. "Ugh, get off of me you annoying-" She meowed in annoyance as her claws blazed with fire as Juani felt blue possess his eyesight as he swiped across the cats eyelid.

She yowled with pain as his claws pierced into her eye.  She rapidly clawed at him, trying to kick him off.  In response he only set more of his weight on her before feeling a sudden pain in his stomach as he was kicked into the air.  Still having his claws in her shoulders he pulled with all his might sending her back to him as he bit into her scruff she clawed at him in a panic.

He was crushed under her weight  However he clamped down into her scruff, blood drept onto his eyes as he saw a glimpse of Koko staring at them, jaw dropped, with wide eyes.  Tears were resting in his eyes as Juani's vision was blocked with grey.

He was on top of the cat again, ready to slam his paws down onto the cats chest as they were both suddenly bathed in gold.  He saw as the ground they were on before was vanishing behind them giving way to some plains.  Far far below them.  Juani shrieked as he had pressed down his paws on the cat who was now glancing in all directions.  With his weight slammed into the cat she could hardly do anything as they plummeted to their deaths.

𝓙𝓾𝓼𝓽 𝓾𝓼𝓮 𝓱𝓮𝓻 𝓽𝓸 𝓰𝓮𝓽 𝓫𝓪𝓬𝓴 𝓾𝓹, 𝔂𝓸𝓾 𝓪𝓻𝓮𝓷'𝓽 𝓽𝓸𝓸 𝓯𝓪𝓻 𝓰𝓸𝓷𝓮. A voice ringed in Juani's head as he gasped, glancing down at the cat as wind pulled on his cheeks making his short fur suddenly ripple up as they were Plummeting.  He was falling.  𝓛𝓪𝓾𝓷𝓬𝓱, 𝓹𝓻𝓮𝓼𝓼 𝔂𝓸𝓾𝓻 𝔀𝓮𝓲𝓰𝓱𝓽 𝓭𝓸𝔀𝓷 𝓸𝓷 𝓱𝓮𝓻 𝓪𝓷𝓭 𝓹𝓸𝓾𝓷𝓬𝓮 𝓾𝓹.  Juani was obedient now, as he didn't want to die.  He glared into her as she stared with wide, amber eyes.

He sunk his claws into her, twisting around as he now looked up to see blood dribbling from both him and the cat.  He looked at his shoulder and cheek, seeing blood emerging from thin wide scratches.  He narrowed his eyes as his pupils shrunk.  He pressed his weight down on her as she gasped for air.

He then launched up, feeling the other cat shrink and twist below him.  "Juani! Juani!" Juani heard Koko as he pounced up, luckily reaching the cliff.  He panted as the air suddenly pulled down on him.  As he crashed into the cliffside.  Just barely able to hold his own weight as Koko rushed to him.

Koko ran over, as he sunk his claws into the foliage.  Koko grabbed Juani's paws, then bit at his scruff, pulling him up.  Koko sunk into him, crying.  Juani panted, claws still unsheathed from the shock of the whole situation.  "I thought you were dead, Juani.  I thought i'd have to watch you fall to your death, Juani." Koko sobbed, sinking into Juani's pelt as he cried.   "I'm fine Koko, don't worry."  Juani mewed back to Koko as he sat up and sheathed his claws, pupils boldening.

Juani remembered how that voice spoke to him, he believed he had heard it beforehand.  Juani suddenly raced away from Koko, glancing over the cliffside.  He saw only a grey dot as the cat had collided with the ground by now.  Dotted with red from his clawmarks.  He could've been right beside that grey cat, dead.  Had the voice not spoken so soon.

He was thankful for what he had now, afterall.  Russet emerged from the bushes as she stared at both of the cats.  Koko raced to greet her as Juani turned his head to stare in her direction.  "What happened here, you guys look battered."  She mewed, as Koko explained the situation and Juani's eyes widened.  Apparently the cat had been tracking Koko down to kill him upon his banishment from 'The Phantoms', and Juani had saved his life.

He was clearly leaving out most of the details as Russet hastily nodded and lead him over to the bush she had emerged from, tail high.  Juani sighed with relief,  before following.  Ears perked.
