Juani, was a rather ambitious cat. "You have great goals. But, a normal cat is not immune to fire nor ice. We'll be willing to train you as we are looking to bolster our ranks and you are rather promising." Leonala said. Leonala also conveniently wore an black tinted collar, with a gemstone fixed on the front. Shimmering a unique sapphire blue. She was queen of the snow-cats. Juani's paws threatened to slip if he did not even out his weight. "You will train with a trusty paw i have at my side. Quail. She's one of my guards, and has shown great promise." Leonala once again mewed. Attracting Juani's attention to her, as she pointed over to 'Quail'.
Juani now looked over to the cat the queen had pointed to. Their fur shimmered a bright pink and white with the lighting, however as she walked over to Juani's side it was revealed her fur was silver with many black streaks that stood out from her light grey pelt. Her bright green eyes would further add to her beauty as well her curly but long winter-borne pelt. She also had a collar, however, her gemstone was a simple blue. But otherwise, very simple in texture to the queens. "You are dismissed." The queen announced. And the guards dipped their heads before taking their leave. Quail flicked her long fluffy tail to get Juani coming her way. He followed. They skittered across the castle, Quail offering help to Juani seeing as he couldn't find his footing. Her fur near her paw pads made it rather easy for her to grip onto the ice and move. Juani had none of this.
They were now exiting the castle, as he was led to a small branch and thorn woven den. Which, faded into many tunnels. "Before we train, you must know how to get around." Quail spoke, her soft but loud voice would instantly get Juani's attention. "We use underground tunnels to reach areas undetected. We have three districts." She paused, to get her breath. "The tunnel we're on is the patrolling district. This tunnel splits into two. Our hunting district, and the Navigation district which branches to the many villages we have strewn about." She paused once again, incase Juani had any questions. Juani spoke now. "But, why do you need so many tunnels?" Juani would question the silver and plump molly. "Well, we want to keep a low-profile. This is also so prey above the ground would be unsuspecting to our presence. Here in the tunnels we can also hunt ground-dwelling animals. For example, mice and moles. They find our tunnels to be the perfect places for dens." Quail answered.
Juani was rather pleased by this. "Now, we do not wish to cause a ruckus. You will follow quietly as I lead you to the den you will be staying at." Quail flicked her tail once more, and Juani followed. Juani hadn't noticed before, but Quail had many scars. Her thick pelt concealed the majority of them, but this was a cat of many experiences. Juani looked down at his own pelt, seeing the smooth, short, grey he was familiar with. Juani really preferred the lack of cold-air down in the tunnels, it was an even-warm as they extended for so long. Juani took moments to admire the way the ice cats had decorated the place. They used small weeds to illustrate greenery and many mosses. They had dug out small ponds to drink from and for the mosses to thrive in. Juani imagined the same feel of grass he had back at his own village, oh how the lovely daisies danced and sunflowers swerved. It was such a pretty grassland, numerous oaks decorated the area that faded into the coated forest.
Juani remembered how it was all taken. That night he saw his village on fire. The night he lost his parents. It still haunted him. The light of day struck his eyes and he instinctively blinked. He was shown a wood-woven hollow with a mossy interior decorated with Hinge-leaf. Hinge-leaf was a thick type of leaf that drooped on the edges. It belonged to the sturdy hinge trees that often decorated taigas and grasslands. It was the type of tree to always remain green. "You are to press on this fold. This is so we can keep track of you incase something were to happen." Quail announced. Handing Juani some fold and purplish dyed water. Fold was a thick type of wood that was forged from the bark of drift-wood trees, whom resided in heavily forested areas. They are one of the best trees to have in a territory as marks can stay for months on their wood. However, dried wood, fold, keeps these marks for months, sometimes years. It was rather smart of the ice-cats.
