I couldn't even be upset that Steven had snuck out sometime the night prior. My heart was just so full from our time together and this evening couldn't come soon enough. I couldn't bear the thought of what may happen in a few days when it was time for me to move on, but I was determined to make the most of every second we had together.

My day dragged on so. slowly.

Work usually flew by for me, but today it seemed like every time I looked at the time only 5 minutes had gone by even though I was sure it was at least 30. I was getting caught up in daydreams, remembering how his hands felt on my skin, his breath on my neck, his scent. I longed for more. With hopeful expectations for tonight, I ordered dinner and drinks to be ready in my hotel room for when Steven and I would be done at the gallery.

After so many painful hours of waiting, it was finally time to get ready for tonight. I put on the new outfit I bought yesterday, took some time to do my makeup and hair, and made sure I had everything I needed for photographing.

It started lightly raining as I made my way to the gallery.

Just my luck.

As I ran up the steps to the building I saw movement ahead of me. A door opened and stayed held open by a man. As I got closer the light from inside illuminated the side of his face.

My Steven.

"Come on in Love, you must be freezing!"

I skipped past him through the open door and tried to dry off as much as possible and fix my hair before turning to look at him. When I did, he was already smiling at me and my heart nearly jumped out of my chest.

"Wow, you look beautiful!"

I nervously laughed, "New clothes."

Steven came closer, pushing a few strands of damp hair off of my cheek.

"You could show up wearing a cardboard box and you'd still be absolutely breathtaking."

A small but heavy breath escaped my lungs. "Steven..." I barely whispered.

We both began to step even closer.

Finally.

I wanted this all day, my body ached to touch his again, feel his lips, his tongue... I wanted to keep familiarizing the shape of his jaw with my thumbs, then run my hands down his body until I made it to his hips and kneel down right here and take him in my mou-

"Stevie!!" A sharp voice yelled.

Oh fuck off.

Steven jumped a bit at the sound of her voice, immediately losing all comfort and confidence he had with me just a moment before.

Before Steven could say anything I turned around to face Donna, almost creating a wall between the two of them, directing her full attention to me.

"(Y/N)! I'm so glad you could make time for us in your busy schedule! Is he bothering you? Stevie, go-"

"Actually," I interjected, "I've asked Steven to accompany me, give me a tour. I think his knowledge will help me produce the best possible quality for you."

Donna looked confused and possibly a bit angry. "We have other employees who are actually tour guides who could help you."

"They've all gone home." Steven chimed in from behind me, I admired his bravery in front of the beast.

Now her face was definitely angry as she peered over at Steven, but it softened to a friendly customer service demeanor when she looked back at me.

"Are you sure? I can easily call back one of my tour-"
