Dear Louis,

You are an amazing person.

Thank you,

For giving me a short but very thrilling ride.

If you think

That you were nothing to me,

You're wrong.

I always knew your blue eyes,

Even before you started to give me flowers.

In a sea of people,

I would always find you.

I'm sorry for pushing you away.

You made me feel things

I'd never felt before,

And I was so scared.

I'm sorry for causing you so much pain.

Sometimes we have to hurt

The people we love the most,

To save them.

Louis,

You are

A beautiful and complex soul,

Filled with so many feelings, thoughts and emotions.

You deserve better.

But thank you,

For loving someone as broken as me.

I'm sorry it had to end this way,

But I couldn't take the

screams and thoughts

in my head anymore.

I am too weak.

I couldn't save myself.

I wrote you this letter,

To tell you

That even though

My soul was already bruised,

And my life was already ripped apart,

My heart still chose to love you.

No, Emily did not rise from the dead to write this letter. To fix out any sort of confusion, this was Emily's letter that her parents gave to louis during the funeral :)
