Chapter 1.1: The Savior
My heart was thumping fast, and I've never felt this way before. I need to stay calm. I lay flat on the floor, so I stood immediately to my feet. Only weaklings spend most of the time contemplating while being on the floor. Excellent ones, such as me, stand immediately because no time must be wasted in every situation. As I arose, I saw a huge door right before me. Height is ten meters and the length is four. How do I know? Of course I'd know through simple yet accurate estimation. There is a built-in ruler in my brain which allows me to see the measurement of objects. Despite this, I always carry a ruler around to double-check.
It appears like I'm in a royal hallway in a castle. Intricate fine crafts of filigree patterns are carved unto the walls and the ceiling. This place is truly magnificent. It makes me feel like I'm part of royalty. Yet even feeling this emotion of happiness, I feel a bit afraid. After the incident that happened a while ago, I suddenly fell down into this mysterious unknown place. Who knows what I have just set foot on? It feels so surreal, like, am I even still on earth? I must not show any signs of nervousness though, so my face remained steady.
"Here's another one!" A boy's voice echoed. This means it's not just me here, and there are other people. I looked behind to see small figures of three people coming to me from afar. As they went closer I asked, "Who are you, and are you from this place?"
"My name is Flint," He said. "And no, we are not from this place. We arrived here because we entered some sort of weird pit or something, whatever that was."
"It's called a wormhole," I responded.
"Ah, never heard of that before. Thanks, another one to add to my vocabulary."
"You must know better. You are a student, and a student must know this basic information."
"Eh? What's that all of a sudden..? Excuse me, but I'm offended..."
"You're a disappointment," I looked at his eyes intensely. "Also, what's with your other eye? It's weird, can you at least make it look better?" His left eye was dull grey which is in contrast to his right eye.
"Woah chill there. You can't expect us to know a lot of stuff," Another boy said, this time with light blonde hair and a red jacket.
Confidently I answered, "I have every right to expect your knowledge."
"Excuse me, who are you to say that?" Blonde boy is clearly annoyed. "Also, Flint's other eye is not weird at all!"
"No need to say that, France...You can't deny that my eye is off-putting," Flint said with a low voice.
"We just met and things are starting to go tense!" The girl became enraged. She has a ponytail hairstyle, and attached on her brassy hair is a fish-shaped hairclip. She stood right in front of my face and asked, "Are you perhaps the mastermind who brought us all here?"
"Certainly not."
"Then stop acting so arrogant or we will mistake you as the villain. What's your name anyway?" She crossed her arms.
I actually forgot I'm not at school, which means anyone can talk back to me as they please. When I'm at school, no one really talks back at me whenever I scold them, probably because they fear getting expelled. I'm the daughter of the headmistress, after all. But this situation is different, and that's fine, because I'm always up for a challenge— and I'll always win.
"You can call me Trixie Trevenlue."
"Great, mine is Brynlee Dorcler. Also, you have a nice recognizable name. I bet lots of people remember you," Brynlee replied.
