As my eyes opened for the first time, I surveyed my surroundings. The only thing I could make out was the fact that I was currently buried underground. I was then instantly informed about my current circumstances by a voice in my head.

"Who are you? Who am I?"

{There was an error accessing 80% of stored memories on our current hard drive. Unfortunately, only the essentials of our mission were kept intact. Things like our names have been lost.}

"What is our mission?"

"The moon??? You mean the huge thing that circles the planet???"

"How am I expected to do that?"

{While you do not have a name your current identification is Project Artificial Star, you have been created for the sole purpose of destroying the moon.}

"Artificial star? I understand that you purpose is to destroy the moon, but how? Why?"

{Due to the deterioration of the memory drive, I cannot currently answer everything. Most of the remaining saved memory is common sense, literacy, body manipulation, combat techniques, and our current missions details. Acquiring needed materials will allow memory drive restoration to be possible.}

After 30 more minutes of trying to get any useful information out, I learned a few things:

    1.    I was created 1701 years ago, by a group called N.O.V.A, to destroy the moon.
    2.    Project Artificial Star is exactly as it sounds. It was to create a energy source capable of outputting the same amount of power of a star, and weaponize it to save humanity from the moon.
    3.    The moon is not a singular object. It is a mass of creatures, packed together, named the Luna. These creatures are the reason there is no remaining life on any other planet in our solar system.
Lunas are creatures that eat anything living, whether it's plants, animals, or people; If it's alive, they eat it. The way they keep up this cycle of hunger is by going to a planet, eating every living creature on the planet, then going into the planets orbit and waiting till life starts on that planet again naturally and once the Lunas can't take their hunger anymore, they descend to the planet. They begin wiping it out and creating a new moon every single time they finish, clearing the planet. The amount of moons a planet has can be used to see how many Luna invasions a planet survived until total extinction. The first invasion of the Lunas on earth is expected to be the cause of the dinosaur's extinction. They invaded, ate 98% of all living things on the planet, then went into orbit and orbited our planet for years, waiting to invade again. I was created during the second invasion. During that time, humans fought the Lunas for the first time and lost 60% of the population; but they were able to force the Lunas to retreat back into orbit. Humanity was desperate to stop a future invasion, so they created Project Artificial Star to destroy the moon and all the Luna at once.

"So, I was created to stop another invasion?"

{Indeed. You are the only hope for the future of humanity. If you do not destroy the moon before the second invasion, there is no guarantee that humanity will survive again.}

While it was muffled by the ground above me, due to my enhanced senses, I was able to immediately hear a faint scream nearby.
"AAAAAAHHHHH!!!"

"What was that?"

{There is currently an entity being attacked directly above where we are currently buried.}

"How do we get out of here??"

{Attempting to activate flight mechanisms. Preparing to drill out of burial site.}

"Flight mechanism?"

At that moment, I could feel an absurd amount of power being released from my chest, spreading around my entire body. Before I could think about the warmth of this amazing power flowing through me, I heard another scream and I knew what I had to do. I could feel this energy was as natural to me as air is to humans, I prepared to fly as if it was programmed into me.

Because it was.

"Get us out of here!"

{Affirmative.}

We tunneled through the ground by covering my body in the energy that was no longer just coursing through me but radiating from my body disintegrating the dirt around me, allowing me to cut through it without resistance. Once I breached the surface, I instantly downloaded every detail of my soundings. In front of me was a girl with short blue hair, outfitted with weapons and armor that looked cheap but was clearly well-maintained. The girl, who was shaking and looking absolutely terrified, slowly started backing up.
She asks: "Wh-Who are you?"

Seeing how panicked she was, I wanted to respond in a way that would put her at ease, but I couldn't even remember my own name. So I asked.

"Hi-what's your name?"

The blue haired girl, who was shocked beyond belief that a glowing boy just burst from the ground, began calming down.

"I'm sorry...I should've told you my name first; I'm Lea."

"Hi, Lea. I am also named Lea."

{Would you like me to begin referring to you as Lea?}

"No. I don't know any names, I just thought it'd be fine if I took the first name I heard."

The girl looks at him suspiciously then replies.

"You could've just said you didn't want to tell me your name. I won't force it out of you after you've just saved my life."

"How did I save your life?"

"You destroyed that 4 star Luna in one hit. It usually takes 10 people with C-tier powers to destroy one of those..."

{She has mentioned Lunas. After inspecting the surrounding areas, I have confirmed that we destroyed a Luna with the impact of our breach from the ground. It appears we are too late: The second invasion has already started.

{From the looks of the remains, it would seem that the Lunas now are stronger compared to the first wave. Based on information I currently have on the first wave, we currently still exceed them in every aspect.}

"But how are we gonna complete our mission to destroy the moon if there is no moon? The Luna are already here. The Moon is gone."

{This is incorrect. The Luna are the moon. While the moon is no longer in the sky, every Luna remains a part of it.}
