Chapter 8: Mystery Hero

It's been a week since [Y/N] had ran off from the Todoroki household after completely breaking down from a confrontation between her and Natsuo which only brought her to tell the truth about how she felt, however after she ran out of the house and slammed the door behind her she didn't hear or see what the aftermath was like, in simple words it was chaos.

A Week Before...

Natsuo stood frozen in place just staring shocked and horrified at the door which was just slammed shut after you made your run for it, fists clenched and brows crunched together in confusion as his mind reeled trying to grasp what he just heard you tell him and Fuyumi which was standing still in the background tears in her eyes not knowing or realizing that her little sister felt that way all through the 2 weeks which had passed, the house was eerily silent considering a few minutes prier the space was filled with the sounds of arguments.

Her broken voice kept replaying in his head no matter how much he tried to make it stop and forget about it or justify that he was only trying to protect his family from harm, it didn't work, it only made him feel even more guilty for what he had done or might of coursed to happen later on.

"I..... I-I'm sorry that I bring you so much pain that you loath me so much.-"

Quickly slipping on his shoes and grabbing his jacket he rushed out the house knowing exactly what he must do inorder to fix thing between you both but the first step was to find you and apologies, try to make it right, correct the wrongs and judgmental claims he thought about you all because he only saw his fathers eyes and a fire type quirk and immediately thought you was like his father.

"I'm sorry that I have traits of him. I'm sorry that I have a fire type quirk which I didn't ask for.-"

Every minute that passed by hand no sign of you made his heart race faster as his mind started to think the worst like "what if you got hurt all because of the argument you both just hand made you not pay attention where you were going?" or "what if you hurt yourself because he hurt you?" 

"I'm so sorry that me being alive is such a inconvenience for you..... I'll leave you all to go back to your lives before all this happened and you can just forget me, I wouldn't take it personally.-"

'I really was the worst brother ever' was the first thought that popped in his head after hours of searching for you all over the streets asking random people if they had seen you, he didn't want to forget you he only just met you, his little sister. Granted he didn't know about you for 15 years but that was his mothers way of protecting you from the horrors which went on inside that house they lived in, she spared you and let you live a perfectly normal life up till now at least. 

"I'm going home, so I guess this is goodbye brother... I hope life does you well"

You called him brother even after the way he made you feel like a complete outsider and stranger which wasn't welcome, he didn't deserve your kindness and effort that you showed him over the 2 weeks that you tried to know him, you didn't deserve the way he treated you and in that sense he was exactly like his father which he loathed ever since his childhood. Hours later and still nothing, in the end he was forced back home by Fuyumi which proposed that they both go out in search for you tomorrow although even she didn't like the idea of you out god know where all night, however it couldn't be helped.

Present Day...

[Y/N]'s POV-

Over the last week I've been wondering around the streets randomly not sure what or where I should go, my phone died 3 days ago so I could call Touya to find out where he was and our apartment was cleared out then gave to somebody else so there's that, I didn't want to go back to the Todoroki household as it was pretty obvious that I was only a burden on them so I was left out of options. The last meal I ate was lunch yesterday with the last of my money that I had in my pockets which made me realize the true extent of my situation, I had to figure out what I was going to do soon otherwise sooner or later something that I can't control or do anything about will happen.

Heaving a tiered sigh as I messaged my temples because of the headache which was coming on in attempt to get rid of it or at least easy it alittle, I was in a part of town that not many hero's would patrol around because of the low crime rate so it was the perfect place to not be found by Endeavor or any of his sidekicks, however the once peaceful area was soon disrupted by the chaotic screams for a hero and help from near by. 

Before I could register what I was doing my legs made a break for where the screams was coming from and as I turned the corner I was met with a building engulfed with flames raging out of control, office workers coughed and spluttered as they helped each other to get out but it was clear that there must be others still trapped inside not able to get out, without thinking I lifted the hood of my hoodie over my head then weaved my way through the slight crowed which was starting to form then into the building through the entrance to the office building.

There wasn't much visibility because of the smoke which poured out of shattered windows or whatever holes there was to the building, I saw a few people struggle out of a room so I rushed over and directed them towards the exist before going deeper into the building and up the stairs helping whoever I came across as I went, once I made it to the top floor there was smoke everywhere making me cough more and harder to breath but I didn't care all I could think about what helping everyone get out uninjured and safe.

I called out into the smoke and fire seeing if I could find anyone else but I couldn't so I was about to turn around and leave when a shout for help was heard not too far away in the far corner which was surrounded with flames everywhere, furrowing my brows and clenching my fists I flicked my eyes over the room trying to calculate my next move without making a collapse or putting the person in danger, eventually I made my strategy and put it to work.

Using my quirk I directed the fire which was surrounding the area the person was trapped to me I formed about 6-7 fireballs in a circle around by body clearing a chard but fire free path to who I now can see is a woman in her mid 20s and by the looks of it pregnant, I flashed her a assuring smile as I steadily took one step at a time over to her then held out my hand to help her up before striking a convocation up to distract her from her current situation, I even managed to get a laugh out of her ones or twice as I helped her down the stairs slowly accumulating alot for fireballs that hovered wherever I went behind me as I moved the fire that was in front of us out the way.

Once we made it to the entrance I let her walk out first before lifting my hand and all the flames was drawn to me attaching itself to my body warming my skin the more fire accumulated on me, I was a walking fireball and the building wasn't on fire anymore as I walked out of the building into the street then cheers erupted around me from the crowd which had formed, looking out into the crowd seeing the office workers all smiling and cheering all safe made me feel like I was needed for once in my life.

Throwing my fist in the air the fire which once surrounded me turned into brilliant turquoise blue wings before they dissipated into nothing leaving me standing in my slightly burnt cloths which now had a few holes in them showing off alittle skin but nothing too bad, before the crowd could submerge me in questions and praise I was cooped up then flown off by something so I looked up and was met with Hawks grinning face which I returned with a soft smile, he eventually put me down on someone's balcony which he also landed then walked straight into the sliding door.

"Um there's a door there"

I smirked teasingly as I slid open the door for him which he only grumbled under his breath as he was embarrassed that he walked straight into a glass door, he then explained that we were at his place and that Endeavor was not happy about me just up and leaving without saying a word which only made myself feel happy that I pissed of the flaming trash, at least I can tick that off my bucket list.
