We've just been talking in discord all night. People came, I met some more of the guys, then they started leaving one by one at around 4 am. Until it was just me and Droid. "Yea and I don't even know why he was there like why he in my personal space like that?" I finished talking and laughed. "Wow it's actually sunrise for me. I think I might head out and try to get some sleep" Droid says with a stretch. "Yea the sun is rising in like a half hour here. I'm gonna go too. See ya later bro" I say and he smiles towards his camera. "See ya" he says and I leave. I lean back in my chair and sigh. "God I think I've found a new best friend" I smile and close my eyes.

-The next day-

Someone started calling me on discord. I rolled over in my bed and stretched. I got up started walking towards my computer. "Alright alright. I'm coming" I say as I sit in my office chair. "Hello?" I say as I wipe the sleep from my eyes. "Uh hey! It's Dooo. I'm sorry if I woke you, but I was wondering if maybe you wanted to hangout in discord with me" he had a webcam on, but it was pointed at his stomach/chest area and his legs. "No one to play with today?" I ask. "No. Everyone is busy or offline. I'm bored and alone. Even my parents are gone. They're visiting my aunt". "Why didn't you go?" I ask and I see him stiffen. "She always brings up the fact that I don't have a 'real job', I don't have a girlfriend which brings her to the conclusion that I'm closeted which I'm not, and she always says I need to move out and start my life. So I told her that I had to work". "Wow your family actually calls you? Must be nice. I get the occasional 2 minute call from my nephew Casey, but that's pretty much it for my family" I say and I see his body loosen up a little. "Oh sorry for bringing it up then" he says and I chuckle. "Nah it's fine I'm used to it. Anyway I'm not doing anything. I'll hangout with you" I say. "You will? Cool!" I hear the excitement in his voice which makes me feel good. "Well I already know about your YouTube stuff. I've been watching your channel for years. I know you like music so how about a jam session?" I say and I see him sit more forward in his seat. "You play an instrument? What kind?" He asks and I smile to myself proud. "Guitar, ukulele, piano, a little bit of trumpet, and I wanna learn more" I see him pull out his iconic hello kitty guitar which makes me giggle. "What is it too much?" He asks and I giggle again. "That's a cool one. I've seen it on Instagram" Dooo says with a chuckle. "Yep and that's exactly where I got it from" I said proudly.

-3 hours later-

Me and Dooo finished up our jam session like an hour ago and now we're just watching memes while laughing like maniacs.
"BRO WTF WAS THAT!?" I manage to get out through my obnoxious laughter. "WTH IS HE DO- OH SHIT!" I hear the sound of Doo falling out of his chair which causes me to let out an ungodly wheeze. "Are you ok? That sounded like a hard fall" I ask as I while my tears from my eyes. "Yea ow. I'm good. My chair isn't though" he says and I smile. "You know what?" I say as I hear Doo get up from the ground. "What?". "You're so much cooler than I thought" I say. "So are you" he says and I blush slightly.

It's be only about 5 minutes since we ended the discord call and I already miss him. I start thinking to myself.

Maybe they're different.
Maybe they'll stay.

I snap out of my thoughts. "No I can't get my hopes up. Especially right now. It's only the beginning"

I flop on my bed and stare at the ceiling. I pull my phone out of my pocket and go to my messages. I pull up an old group chat with my "friends" Jay, AJ, Lilly, Hailey, and many more. I mute the chat and toss my phone somewhere else on my bed. I curl up into a ball, hugging my knees to my chest, and I start crying softly.
