chapter 5

Thrusday. { crystal}

"Mary, I am having a match today. Do you want to come?" I asked Mary while we were having our breakfast and Jenny was constantly typing on her phone.

"I am so sorry darling, I will not be able to come, but for next time, count me in. I will be there and I have to throw a party as well for your winning right," Mary said with a smile.

"Mary, we haven't played yet''. I said with a look, and she chuckled.

"Jenny, you will be coming or you have other plans.'' I asked, eyeing her.

"Of course, I will be there with Joe. His brother is playing." She said, and after a pause, she added, "and you too. So, of course, I will be there to cheer you all on, though you don't need it, but your team does.'' 

Mary looked at me to see  if I was hurt by the bluntness of Jenny, but I shrugged that off. I do want Joe and Jenny together. He is good with her. Even in college, they have a very sweet bond, despite the fact that he behaved like a shit on that party, and now Jenny does not talk to me a lot and spends a lot of time with him, but I am fine ,at least she is happy. I went to college alone as Joe was taking her because coincidencly, Joe was our neighbour.

I reached school and straight away went for practise as we were having our match starting at 5. At around 4, all the bleachers were full and the rival team was here. The coach went to see them to talk to their coach, and here we are discussing our strategy.
After the game started, we were introduced to their team members: Link, Ace[Captain], Carter, Michael, and Roy. They were going against our team members: Christ, Steve, Max, Leo, and Me[Captain]. The rest of the 7 members of both teams were sent back to their seats and will be called back if a substitute is required.
They did play rough, but the game was very easy. We won by 70/30. Just guess how easy it was, or I would say we had great players, being  it the defenders or pointers. Even though they tried playing dirty, thanks to our team, we were untouched.

Walters

Man, the way she plays, trust me, our rival team were playing way too rough and their captain, whatever his name was, was being way too touchy with Crystal in the name of playing. I just didn't like any of their players from the time they came because they were staring and licking their lips. Seeing Crystal was like seeing some piece of meat and they just wanted to jump on that given the chance.

We won by a very big difference, and it's all thanks to Crystal because the way she baskets, even far from half court, was amazing. Even the rival team was shocked for a moment. 
The way the audience were shouting her name and for the game, my god, I think I have way too much competition ahead to win her heart, and I know that's going to be hard with my reputation.
We won the game and Crystal got the MVP, which she well deserved. We were all going when she stood in front of the rival team and the things she said them were damn sassy.  ''You know what, the way you all were behaving before and during the match even now states how low life you'll have. Really man, I feel sorry for your life as I can imagine what a hard life you'll be having with your things getting excited and you having to keep them under control with the help of a cold shower. And guess what, if you all  continue behaving like fucking asses and bullshit, then trust me, you'll have to beg for it on your knees, even in a strip club''.
Woah, I was able to see the faces of all the fucking players, teachers, and even the principal. Because she was talking on a mic and, after her hot speech, for a moment, the whole room was silent and then laughter, shouting, and screaming echoed through the room.
"Shitt, man, I didn't expected that. We know they were eye raping her publicly, but I didn't know she would embrass their sorry asses in such a way.'' Max said it for the very first time without anyone asking.

We were in the boys' changing room, including Crystal, as the coach was talking about the celebration. "So I'm thinking, why don't we skip tomorrow's classes and go for some restro time?" Coach said with a wink, and we all started screaming in joy. 
I need to talk to her tomorrow, but before that I have to talk to my friends so that we don't have to compete amongst us.
I talked sense to my friends and they frowned, and after my stunned look, they put their hands up in surrender, except Max. I know he likes her in a way I do, but I can't help it and he will understand that after some time, so I shrugged that thought away.

Crystal

After my small but beautiful speech, I went back to Jenny and gave the medal and trophy to her and hugged her. She responded back. She came with her friends, or should I say her whole class, and started talking. I didn't reply. I just nodded and left them with Jenny because she was getting uncomfortable with that, though I don't know why, or I would say I guessed the reason, but didn't wanted that to be true, so I went back to the boys' changing room where the coach called all of us.

I went there and saw some boys half naked, which btw didn't bother me because I was not interested. They all started covering themselves with whatever they got in their hands, except four boys, of which two were just staring at me like how other people do, and the other two were staring at me with tinted pink cheeks. Like really, boys can blush too? That was cute. And when Coach said about ditiching college i was thinking that in all of this match shit, at least one good thing happened.
