Jennie had made it as an artist. She was no DaVinci, but she had sold over to three hundred pieces in the six years since opening her own gallery and had made quite the name for herself. She had done multiple commissions, but she really thrived when she made her own pieces. Of course, most of her inspiration still came from her wife. She and Lisa had just celebrated their seven-year wedding anniversary a few months ago. She was in her studio trying to find the perfect blend of colors to represent a deep purple sky for the current piece she was working on, but she could not seem to get it how she wanted and it was really starting to piss her off.

The sound of the door busting open made her jump and turn around, nearly causing her to spill the paints on the side table next to her.

"Mommy, mommy!!" A little voice cheered as a head of blonde raced towards her.

"Ella, I told you that you have to use your inside voice when you come in here," Jennie reminded her daughter with a stern voice as the little girl wrapped her legs in a hug. She couldn't stay mad at that.

She hoisted the five-and-a-half-year-old onto her lap and gave her cheek a big kiss. She had Lisa's eyes and Jennie's hair and was easily the prettiest kid that had ever walked the Earth.

She heard a knock on the door and looked up to see Lisa smiling at her while holding the twins in her arms. Her green eyes showed obvious exhaustion, but her smile was as bright as ever.

"Hi, my love," Lisa breathed, and Jennie's smile widened.

"Mommy!" Lukas exclaimed, pointing to Jennie when she stood up. Levi simply laid his head on Lisa's shoulder sheepishly.

"Hello, beautiful," Jennie said to Lisa, "Hello boys! What a lovely surprise."

"We thought we would drop by to see how you're holding up," Lisa explained before setting Lukas on the floor since he was wiggling too much. "You've been in here for hours and we were wondering if we could take you to dinner."

"Yeah! Mama said we can go to the place that has the straws that bend all around! The one with the coloring books!!" Ella excitedly explained.

"O'Casa," The brunette stated, crossing the distance to give Jennie a kiss.

Lukas ran on stubby legs over to the corner that had been established as the kids' corner. There were books and crayons and coloring books. The twins were coming up on their third birthday in a few months and it felt insane how fast time was flying.

"I am a bit hungry now that you mention it," Jennie smiled, giving Levi a kiss on the cheek. Levi had dark brown hair like Lisa's and green eyes to accompany. He looked almost exactly like her and had a lot of the same mannerisms as well. Lukas on the other hand had a nice mix of the two colors and ended up being a dusty-colored blonde-haired boy and he was the only one to have the blue eyes Jennie had.
