Mirage x Male!Reader

You joined the Apex Games for fun, you felt like you needed more to do with your life and found a golden opportunity you couldn't ignore. Anytime someone asks that one question, "What did you join for?" you just couldn't find an answer so you chose to ignore it. Crypto was the most common person to ask what your excuse was, which was about to happen again. You got knocked and being the person Crypto is, he obviously says "I have to be here, what's your excuse?" while looking you dead in the eyes. You look back but you can't seem to find an answer again for the life of you so you stay silent. "L/N you can't ignore the question again, I've asked many times." He says putting a pistol up in front of you. He was going to shoot until he got knocked and the man behind him is of course Mirage, or Elliott, yet you never called him by his real name. Mirage quickly gets on his knees while cloaking and reviving you,
"Sorry for that wait Y/N.. I've got you now though!"
"Thanks, Mirage, actually.. Have I ever called you by your real name?"
"No- you haven't.. Butttttt you're welcome!"
He helped you up, you got out your R-99 and killed Crypto then used a Phoenix Kit after. You couldn't help but blush a bit about how Elliott had helped you and the touch of his hand.. You did have feelings for him prior to this match but you always brushed it off, looking at Mirage you do notice a bit of blush but thought nothing of it.
You all finished up the match then you went to your place to rest for a bit. Hearing a knock on your door you open it up to see no one so you look down and there's a bouquet of flowers with some chocolates and a note. You pick it all up then walk inside with a smile on your face, placing everything on the island in your kitchen you open up the note and it reads:
"Hey, I think you're really attractive and I've really liked you almost ever since we met. I think you're the perfect guy for me but I'm not ready to confess this face to face yet, I'll be leaving you anything you want until I'm ready to tell you.
- Your secret admirer"
While reading it your cheeks got really red, you start wondering who it could be. You don't think it's anyone outside of the games so you write down everyone's names and jokingly become a detective to try to find out who has a crush on you. You cross off Wraith, Pathfinder, Bangalore, Horizon, Wattson, Loba, Lifeline, Ash, Revenant. Rampart, Valkyrie and Maggie considering the fact you have already told everyone that you aren't attracted to women and the fact that you don't find robots attractive because for some reason people had to hear that. You also dislike Mags and you're pretty sure she doesn't like you either. You think about everyone's sexualities that you know about and cross off Bloodhound, Caustic, Crypto, Octane and Seer. You actually aren't sure about Bloodhounds sexuality but you're just assuming they don't find you attractive. This left Fuse, Gibraltar and Mirage, so instead of just crossing off random names you feel like actually investigating them and their feelings about you. Deep down inside you're hoping it's Mirage but you aren't sure until you remember the fact he was blushing a bit right after he helped you. Dropping the paper and pen you decide to go to bed and just let him confess to you.

It's been a week since he had started sending you flowers and little gifts. To be honest you did forget it was him doing it until about 3 days later he showed up at your door after a game dressed up in a black suit with a royal blue tie. Gibraltar and Pathfinder both stood on the sidelines next to the door where you couldn't see them, you answered the door and were surprised to see him dressed up like this.
"What's the occasion, hm?" you said, chuckling to yourself.
"Look, Y/N.. I uhm.. I've been the one sending you gifts- I'm finally ready to say that- I love you..." he said looking away and blushing, he didn't want to hear you say that you didn't love him, he was scared for your answer because he thought that he wasn't the guy you were hoping for. You grab and hug him, this surprises him but he eventually hugs back.
"So.. uhm do you feel the same way, I mean I totally don't mind if you don't love me back and we can just be frien-" you cut him off by kissing him.

"I love you too, Elliott."

few lil headcannons for a relationship with mirage:

- It's been weeks since Mirage had confessed to you, you both lived happily at his house. You both love each other very much, you even cook him his favorite food that you know about, pork chops.
- He always gives you a kiss on the cheek when seeing you cooking, then puts his arms on your waist while putting his head on your shoulder.
- He always compliments your cooking saying that it's the best and that he doesn't want to go out unless it's like a little date because he really loves your cooking.
- He isn't one to disagree on going on dates with you but sometimes shows up a bit late and apologizes profusely but you both end up enjoying it anyway.
- You both love to sit down at Paradise Lounge and have a few drinks together, you're the one that always gets way more wasted than Elliott so he takes care of you during your hangovers and when you're drunk.
- He loves to kiss your hand and call you "prince" which you enjoy.
- He always calls you by your real name or a nickname he has made for you but it's very unlikely that he'd call you by your legend name.
- You both love to be together when playing duos/trios and you both think you guys make a good team.
- You both wear matching shirts in the mornings before games and you love to match outfits/skins together.
