-3rd Person POV-

Jordyn: *sighing* Look, I don't mean to be a dick, but are you sure He's even coming?

The garage had grown warm, sunbeams pouring inside from the windows up high on the wall. Soyeon's stomach felt light and her head felt loose, as if tilting it ever so slightly would cause it to fall off. She doesn't know how long it's been at this point...at least eighteen hours if not more. No one has come back since Seokjin.

Meaning he never went for the medicine, Sungwoo and Joohyun wouldn't let him come back with it, or Namjoon had gotten to him. But if he did...wouldn't Namjoon be here by now? Unless Jin is really keeping his mouth shut. Or Namjoon was so pissed he killed him before giving him the chance to speak. No...he wouldn't do that. Not when it comes to Soyeon. She knows that he would never just recklessly kill before getting what he wanted, especially if what he wanted was her.

Soyeon: He will.

Jordyn: How do you know that though? I'm not risking my life here on a hunch.

Soyeon: Because I know Him. He wouldn't just...

Jordyn: I'm not saying he would abandon you, but how do you know that they haven't gotten to him first?

Soyeon: They can only slay one dragon at a time.

Jordyn: What do you mean?

Soyeon: Taylen. I think they're putting him in hiding before they kill RM.

Jordyn: Right. Because that worked out so well the first time.

Soyeon: It might. If he's distracted finding me.

Jordyn: How do you think he's doing?

Soyeon: *sighing* He's probably devastated.

Namjoon wasn't bothered enough by his busted knuckles to attempt to treat them. He went back to Legacy, imagining that when he got to the penthouse Soyeon would just appear. Fresh out of the shower and that the entire night had been a terrible, insulting night. But the penthouse was just as dark as he left it. Only this time he had a better plan.

He searched through their home, under cushions and furniture and cabinets. Maybe if he could find the phone Soyeon used to track Joohyun, he would be able to get a head start. But he didn't have such luck as the phone was on Soyeon when she was kidnapped. Defeated, Namjoon slid to the ground, leaning against the bed. He hung his head back, pressing himself into the mattress. He thought that maybe he should sleep...Soyeon would want him to take care of himself. But he didn't feel tired, nor could he bring himself to calm down enough to do so.

There has to be something he can do -- he doesn't remember a time in his life that he had felt this helpless. He thought if he just sat and thought things through he could come up with something. But instead all he could think of was how this is all directly his fault. Everything he did from the moment he met her was the wrong thing to do.

He should have never brought her here. After Jin cleared her in the clinic that day, he should've just sent her off with money. She'd be somewhere, anywhere but here. She would be safe. And would never know the pain that she's in now.

He should have left her in Malibu when she made it clear she didn't want to come back to Sodol. They would still have each other, but be far away enough that she could live a life. She'd be taken care of in that house. She wouldn't have almost drowned or seen JJ killed the way he was. She wouldn't know the pain of losing a friend.

He should've never showed her this life. If he was so hell bent on being with her, he should've just kept her under lock and key so she wouldn't have to see who he really is. He shouldn't have pressured her into being who he is. She's nothing like him. She's not a heartless, godless, cruel, cold-blooded murderer. She's...good. She's kind. She has a big heart and isn't afraid to show it. She shouldn't feel bad about having the emotions of a good person. And that's what he's done. Made her feel bad about having a fucking conscious.
