Throughout the first part of the flight down to Naboo, neither Lei-Ke nor Obi-wan dared to speak, afraid that any noise would allert the battledroids to their presence. Both young Jedi were leaning against one of the walls of the ship, knee's pressed up against their chests to avoid making contact with the droids filling the space.
After both were certain they would not be found out, Obi-wan attempted to create a conversation to break the nervous silence.
" How does it feel to finally become a Jedi Knight? You certainly have had enough skill to become one for years."
Lei-Ke stared up at the ceiling." While it feels nice to be trusted with a mission of this much importance, I feel like there is a lot of pressure being put on me, like I have to prove to the council that their faith in me was not misplaced. I'm not sure if that's how they wanted me to feel or if that's simply how I'm feeling, however. And now that we're attempting to stop an invasion, that amount of pressure has increased."
" But you've done this sort of thing before, right? With Master Plo-Koon?"
The girl sighed." Yes, but that was when I had my Master watching out for me, and making sure I didn't mess up to badly. This time, it feels like I'm on my own."
The other jedi placed a hand on her shoulder." You don't have to feel that way, I don't think you need someone to keep you from messing up, you do that for yourself. And besides, in this case you're not on your own, my master and I are here with you."
" I suppose that does help. And I suppose that's why they set up the mission that way. This way I'm not always defering to my old masters opinion, but I still have other people with me to ease the pressure slightly... I appreciate you talking to me about this, it did help. Thank you."
A moment later the sound of the landing mechanisms being deployed filled the air and the two turned to each other and nodded.
Obi-wan stood up, reaching out a hand to help his companion up." I'm glad I could help."
The girl accepted his hand, pulling herself up, before smiling." As am I. now we should probably get out of here as quick as possible before the droids wake up and decide we're good options for target practice."
The door opened as the ship landed, pushing trees out of its way as it did so, as soon as the opening was high enough, both jedi bolted, making an attempt to get as far away from the battledroids as possible while also trying to keep from tripping over the large number of tree roots covering the forest floor.
The first attack from a blaster caused Lei-Ke to stumble in surprise, latching on to her companions hand to keep herself from falling as he tugged her onwards, both of them using their free hands to pull out their lightsabers in a desperate attempt to deflect the now large number of attacks being made at them from the now active droids.
While the running was difficult, both eventually managed to gain some distance as they continued to attempt to escape the invading army, eventually stumbling into Qui-Gon and another creature neither recognized, the Jedi master making quick work of the battle droids who were chasing the younger Jedi.
" You saved my again!" The creature said, getting up.
Obi-wan looked at him in confusion." What's this?"
" A local," the Jedi master said simply." Lets get out of here before more droids show up."
The local's eyes widened." More!? More did you spake!?"
" Yes," Lei-Ke spoke up, walking past him as she and the other jedi began speeding up their pace again to get away from the invading army." And it's probably best if you lower your voice so that they don't find any of us sooner then they would already."
The unknown creature attempted to catch up with them." Exqueeze-me, but de mostest safest place would be Gunga City, is where I grew up. 'Tis a hidden city."
All three Jedi stopped and turned to look at him.
" A city?" Qui-Gon asked quietly.
" Uh-huh."
" Can you take us there?"
" Uh..." the creature stopped and thought for a second." On second thought, no, not really, no."
" No?" the jedi master repeated.
" 'Tis embarrassing, but... uhh... my afraid my've been banished," the local admitted." My forgotten. The bosses would do terrible tings to me, terrible tings to me if me goen back dare."
At that moment a another droid ship flying by could be heard.
Qui-gon pointed in the air." You hear that?"
The creatures ear raised and he held up a hand to listen." Yah."
" That is the sound of a thousand terrorible things heading this way."
" If they find us," Obi-wan added, following his masters lead in scarying the creature," they will crush us, grind us into tiny pieces, and blast us into oblivion."
The creature looked to Lei-Ke, hoping she'd be the least threatening of the group.
The girl shrugged." Battle droids hold no sentiment. If they find us they will not hesitate to bring us to a quick death."
" Oh," The local said." Yousa point is well seen. This way, hurry!"

The Jedi followed him towards the edge of a lake before slowing the pace as they got closer to the water.
" How much further?" Qui-gon asked.
" Wesa going underwater, okeyday?" The local said, beginning to approach the water again." Ah, my warning you. Gunguns no liken outsiders, so don't spect a warm welcome."
" Oh, don't worry," Obi-wan said calmly." This hasn't been our day for warm welcomes."
The gungun raced towards the edge before leaping in.
The three jedi exchanged a look before putting on the mouth pieces that allowed them to breath underwater and and beginning the decent into the water.
A/N: Sorry for the lack of recent updates, everytime I though: I should get back to writing seeing as I have the time, and opened the film on my computer, all motivation would just leave me. But now Chapter two is up and I'll try to do my next upload as soon as possible. However, I hope at least someone somewhat enjoyed reading this, any comments are more then welcome, and have an absolutely wonderful rest of your day.
