My eyes widen at Luca's words, I despised this woman yet she was still my mother, She still gave me life

'Let's go' I say as I run out of the door, Getting into Luca's car as he follows shortly after

'I'll call you!' I shout to Elijah as Luca speeds off

We reach the private hospital and run in, Greeted by royal guards and nurses who directed us towards her room

'Before we go, Please try to stay calm' Luca faces me, His eyes dropped low

'What? Why wouldn't I be calm?' I ask before heading toward my mother's room

'Jaelyn!' My father shouts as his arms wrap around me, pulling me inside of the room away from the door entrance

'What happened?' I ask as my father pulls away

I glance towards the hospital where my mother is restrained and hooked up to multiple wires

As if on cue, The doctor walks in and slightly bows to me before answering my question he must've overheard

'Your mother's lung was punctured, Two of her ribs were broken which led to the lung being punctured''

'How?' I ask, Tears forming inside of my eyes

'We aren't sure, Abbie has to wake up as she is the only one who may remember' The doctor spoke

I drained of color, My mouth gaped open due to his words

'What do you mean, Abbie must wake up?'

'She was also involved in the accident, Her room is a private one on the children's floor, West side'

I run out of the room, Accidentally running into nurses and other patients as I reach the staircase, Running down two flights of stairs before opening the exit of the staircase

With deep breaths, I look toward the signs

*West*

'Perfect' I say quietly as I run down the hall to a room

*Private Room West*

I open it and look in

Abbie is laying on the hospital bed, Her shoulders and arms seem to be completely covered by bandages, I can tell other things are wrong but I don't know what

I walk to her and stand by the bed

'What happened, Ab's?' I ask, My voice cracking

We have only had each other, I basically raised her

The thought of losing her kills my soul more than anything in the world

The doctor bursts into the room, My father and Luca following her 'She will be o-' The doctor begins to speak

'Cut it! I don't fucking want to hear it!" I shout at the doctor, My voice straining due to the pain

'What is wrong with her? What happened?!" I shout, Looking over at her again

'Why isn't she awake?'.. I ask them

The doctor sighs, My father staring at me with anger in his eyes

'She has rugburn covering her arms and shoulders and An fractured skull '

'She should be okay' The doctor finishes off with

'She will wake up sometime, She will be able to talk but she is drugged due to the pain' The doctor says before leaving, Luca following him

'How dare you, You care about this mistake more than your own mother?' My father snaps at me as he gets in my face

'Yes sir, I do' I say to him calmly, Looking into his eyes as he backs away

He grins 'Very well, Your mother will be okay too'

He exits the room, Slamming the door

I can hear him apologize to the nurses, Saying he didn't mean to slam it

'Always got to be the nice king, Huh dad?..' I scoff as I sit on the guest sofa, Laying down

'Jae?' I hear a soft, weak voice come from the bed, I sprint to be by her side

'What happened, Abbie?' I ask her softly

She yawns and huffs

'It..Hurts..' I call in the nurses to help her with the pain

'Maybe give her some time to talk, Princess' One of the nurses tell me before injecting her with medicine

Atlas was dropped off by my father to visit Abbie, Due to Abbie's skull fracture she cannot tell us what happened

'I was with them..' Atlas spoke softly, Frowning

'What do you mean?'

'Daddy told me to not tell you, But you look really sad about Abbie..'

'Tell me what happened atlas'

'Mommy took us all on a hike, She made us walk across an old long concrete thingy'

'A bridge?'

'Yeah!, Mommy was wobbling a lot, Abbie climbed onto the small wall and began to walk

Mommy laughed and joined her!

Then mommy fell off, And as she fell she tripped Abbie, Abbie tried to hold onto the other side of the wall but it was rough!'

His eyes fill with tears

'Her arms rubbed and she fell with mommy!'

'What else did you see, Atlas?'

'Mommy hit a big rock and so did Abbie!'

'Thank you for telling me, Atlas' I say as I kiss his forehead, Taking his hand and turning to Abbie's sleeping body

'I'll be back, sis' I whisper as I leave the room with atlas, Heading to the waiting room
