The sky was a dark gray, cold rain was falling as the wind picked up. The small cafe was silent other than the tapping of laptops, and the slight hum of the radio.
The aroma of the bitter sweet coffee wafting through the air. At the counter was a tall blond male, with piercing blue eyes, and a scar above his lip, his name tag read Jason.
Jason POV
Today was an average day there was a few customers here and there but the rain kept most away.
Dinggg. I looked up at the sound of someone entering. It was a soaked boy about my age walking in. He was wearing vans, skinny jeans, a band shirt, and an aviator jacket. He had black shaggy hair and when he looked up my breath hitched. His eyes were brown almost black with specks of gold in the iris. He slowly walked to the counter shivering slightly, "Um, can I have a hot chocolate." His voice was deep, but smooth like honey with a hint of an accent I couldn't place. I didn't realize I was staring until he waved a hand in front of my face."Yeah, sorry." After I made his hot chocolate he sat down at a seat in the darkest corner of the cafe. He pulled a book out of the backpack I didn't notice earlier and started reading occasionally sipping on his hot chocolate.
I realized I was staring, again, when a woman in her early thirties snapped in front of my face. When I finally focused on her, she smiled and chuckled, "You seemed starstruck boy."
I nodded and smiled, "I am."
"You should talk to him."
"I would, but I'm working." I frowned. We stood in silence for a minute looking at the boy.
She looked ate and said "Don't miss your chance," and with that she walked out of the shop, a pink umbrella in hand.

The rain had slowed and the boy was still in the corner. I was sitting at the counter casually looking at the boy every chance I got.
My gaze was interrupted when Percy my co-worker came in. "Your shifts over Jason."I stood up, looked at the boy and didn't want to leave. "You know, I've been here for about 10 minutes, and you've hardly looked away from that boy. Go talk to him." Percy said exasperated.
I looked at him for the first time since he got here and smiled, "okay."
I rushed to the back and put my apron on the rack. Walking out I hesitated. I looked back to Percy for reassurance. He was already looking and gave me a thumps up, and then shooed me away from him.
I gulped looking back at the boy, I sat down in front of the boy. He didn't even budge. I internally sighed. "Hey, um I'm Jason." He was still reading his book, and didn't even look up. I looked back at Percy and he pointed at his ears. I didn't know what he meant, but I tried again. "Hey, my name is Jason. What's yours?" He didn't move. I was getting irritated. I snapped in front of his face, he jumped obviously startled, and finally looked up at me. Then, to my surprise, he took out his headphones. I spoke again,"Hi, my name is Jason."
"I know you still have your name tag on," He chuckled,"my name's Nico."
I looked down at my name tag and laughed embarrassed.
"Oops."
"So, Jason what do I owe the pleasure of you sitting by me."
"You simply caught my attention."
"Is that a good or bad thing."
"It's a good thing, well at least I think it is."
"Not so sure are we." Nico said in a mocking tone. I sighed nodding. "Why?" Nico asked.
"I'm not really a risk taker, but I think you might be worth the risk." I paused to look at his reaction, which was confusion so I continued. "Would you like to go to a movie with me?"
His eyebrows raised in shock. "Me?"
"No, I'm talking to the person behind you, yes you."
"Ummm."
"I'm sorry your probably not even gay or bi."
"No that's not it, I'm gay, but why do you want to go out with me? We just met."
"You intrigue me, and I told you it was a risk, but hopefully one worth taking."
"I'll take that risk."
