"OH MY GOD, what I am going to wear there is literally nothing in my closet." I am going on a date with James well it's not really a date more like a group hang out. We're just going to watch a movie I tell myself but come on I am watching a movie with James and it's been way too long.

Then my phone goes off

Hi, it's Alexa :)

I look at my phone in surprise how does she have my number?

I pick up the phone a text back

Hi Ummm, but who are you?

Oh sorry, I am one of James' friends just wanted to say hi since we are going to the movies together just so it won't be awkward when we meet up

Oh

She's really nice I was hoping she had a bitchy personality so I can hate her a little bit easier.I text in a rush wanting the conversation to end quickly

Oh ok, it's nice to hear from you, see you at the movies

Wait hold! Um I just wanted to ask ...
Did James say anything about me

she asked shyly

jeez does she really does like him

ok, calm down I tell myself. Do I tell her the truth that James fucking loves her and wants to raise her babies or lie and maybe have my best friend hate me if he finds out I did lie. I chose the latter

No, not that I know of I text back saying

okay, thanks see you at the movies :)

Jeez I thought that would never be over

I look at the time and now I have twenty minutes to pick an outfit that looks good and get out of here.

At the movies

"Hey!"James waves at me and tells me to come over

There I see Alexa and her friend Maria

"Hey, "I say walking over and trying to look as friendly as possible

"Hi," Alexa says with a shy smile

"Wowwww James why didn't you tell me that your friend is this hot I would have dressed better," Maria says with a smirk

"So what's your name handsome"

"Jason," I say with a small grin

James looks over at me, and that look in his eyes is telling me that he just thought of something stupid.

"You know he's on the baseball team he's going to try out for a starting position"

"Really!" Maria says coming closer to me.

Okay I am not going to lie when a say that this girl is beautiful

She's short and has gorgeous curly hair with hazel eyes and she smells like lavender but still, I will never have the ability to love this girl. But it doesn't mean I can't be nice to her she doesn't seem that bad.

"Want to get some popcorn I ask"

Sure she grabs onto my arm and pulls me to the concession stand.

I look behind me and see James as he smiles at me but his eyes are on Alexa starring at her like she is the only good thing in this fucking world. GOD I'm right here! The person that has been with you since second grade the person that loves you the most in the world how can you not see that.
I'm at the concession stand with Maria and she catches me looking at James for a little bit longer than I'm supposed.I feel her looking me trying to figure me out. I don't give her the chance so I abruptly turn around to face her. She gives me a small chuckle.

"So what popcorn do you want personally I always get extra butter," she says

Not mentioning the moment I had looking at James

I then say "anything is fine, to be honest, I just want a sprite"

she gives a slight nod then turns around to finish the order

I carefully look away from her and see James and Alexa having the time of their life. Jealousy emerges I know that the person standing next to James will never be me and it just leaves my heart hurting. But at the same time, I want to go over there and tell Alexa to back off just so I can have James all to myself. I know that wouldn't be fair to Alexa because she's such a nice person.

So I let these thoughts sink in and turn around to see if Maria is done ordering so we could head in to she the Movie.
