Buzzing and flickering lights filled the room which a young Emmet Ellis had been resting it. Messy would be an understatement, it looked like a wreck. Emmer hadn't cleaned his room in forever, had he? But that wasn't the focus at the moment. The world was going to end in a matter of seconds and he *needed* to evacuate ASAP. Getting out of his bed and putting the suit on as quickly as he could before running around the area, looking for items and most importantly, his friend, Tom Thomson. Emmet was very familiar with Tom and his nature, finding him quite charming and fun to be around despite all the lies he spreads like corrosive gas, but Emmet was certain that he could maybe tell the difference between salt and sugar someday.
Now, where were we? Right, the boarding. Emmet had picked up quite a hefty amount of soup and supplies (but soup especially...) and he only chose one crewmate out of all of them. Even with 3 seats open, Emmet only wanted 1 to be occupied with Tom, who had his foot stuck in a bucket. Having the strength of a college nerd who probably skipped P.E just to study chemistry, getting Tom in the shuttle was no easy task, but eventually, Emmet succesfully got him in! And with the timer ticking slowly to 0, Emmet jumped into the shuttle into safety.

He was greeted by the A.I named A.S.T.R.O, who is mostly just nicknamed as 'Astro' because I am not typing the dots individually. Emmet was assigned as the captain of the shuttle, and was prompted to give a speech. So, Emmet prepared to give a speech about his agility to his only friend, Tom. And the speech was... decent at most. Not enough to gain loyalty from dear Tom, but enough to set a solid point.
"Could'a done better, Captain." Tom commented as Emmet gave a sigh.
"I tried my best, alright?" Emmet gave Tom a small smile, hoping that Tom would at least accept Emmet's efforts for the barely-prepared speech.
"'Least you tried." Tom gave a chuckle, a mocking one in the eyes of Emmet, but it still sounded nice enough to Emmet to not make him feel irritated by Tom's little goofy chuckle.

The shuttle was filled with some generic small talk and getting to know eachother. Looks like Emmet doesn't even know Tom that well! Almost everything he thought he already knew about Tom seemed to be proven false! Or was Tom just lying? Could be the case. Even Astro sure seems to think so, commenting about the two already.
"Seems like you're getting along well." A.S.T.R.O commented sarcastically, almost trying to give a robotic chuckle but it sounded more like a broken fax machine.
"Oh shut up!" Emmet groaned, leaning back into his seat as Tom laughed.
"Awh, cheer up now. Don't let the bot get to ya!" Tom gave Emmet a reassuring pat on the back. Looks like they WERE getting along, take that, stupid A.I thing!

But after a whole day, it was time to rest, so the Captain slowly made his way to the light switch and yawned, mumbling something to himself before looking at Tom.
"Goodnight, erm... Tom." Emmet looked back at the switch and turned the lights off before going to take a well-deserved rest. Being a captain was no easy task, especially on the first day that they even got here! Hopefully the next day will be more forgiving... and hopefully kind, as a matter of fact.

The next day, Emmet woke up first, slowly making his way to the main part of the shuttle, walking to the light switch to turn it on. Can't continue his journey without his dear crewmate Tom, can he?
Emmet firmly pulled the lever up which made all light instantly turn on. It was blinding, to say the least, but it sure did wake him up properly. And Tom as well! Who was now a wee bit grumpy from suddenly having to be woken up, but at least he was understanding of why he had to wake up.
"Hungry?" Emmet rubbed his eyes, smiling at Tom.
"Yeah. Hungry..." Tom mumbled quietly, scratching the back of his neck.
"Can you pass me the soup?" Tom stretched, the sounds of his joints popping and his bones cracking filled the shuttle.
"Of course, of course..." Emmet repeated to himself quietly, getting up on one of the empty seats to get a can of fresh soup. Tom's favorite. Emmet carefully tossed it to Tom, to which Tom caught.
"Thanks." Tom smiled before digging into the soup.
Emmet looked at the Astro bot which had printed out some things, mostly commenting on Tom and Emmet and whatever else. Captain Ellis took the time to look at the resources and see if he could manage to craft anything, only to be let out severely because the crafting machine isn't functional at the moment.
"Fuck..." Emmet groaned, walking over to see what the A.I was offering to do now. Meh, mostly generic things, yadda yadda, yes or no... Emmet already felt exhausted by what he had to do, feeling like he was going to collapse on the ground out of sheer boredom.
"You look bothered. What? Hate your job as a captain?" Tom commented, laughing a bit. "Guess you're unlucky."
"Just... just eat your damn soup, Tom..." Emmet groaned, sitting down on the chair and mumbling to himself.
"Sure you don't want some? It tastes good, you know?" Tom offered Emmet a can of soup, to which Emmet shook his head to, politely refusing it.
"No, no, I'm good! I'll just eat tomorrow!" Emmet chuckled nervously, before hearing that damn bot's whizzing.
"Captain, you may not be complaining about it, but I know you're hungry." Astro scoffed robotically.
"I'm not hungry!" Emmet denied, holding his head.
Tom looked at Emmet concerned, but didn't want to seem clingy or anything, so he peacefully ate his soup. It tasted really good... almost like a drug, but drugs are bad... okay, that was an awful comparison.
Emmet, on the other hand, tried to calm himself down and took some deep breaths in and out, trying to ignore the smell of the soup, knowing it'd make him even more hungrier than he already was. He could wait, it's not THAT bad.
