30.6 RINGMASTER

"DID YOU SAY SOMETHING!!?" Kamoor yelled.

"WHAT!!? DID YOU SAY SOMETHING!!?" Adijha yelled back. He put Kamoor on the ground.

Both of them voices got stifled under the thundering roar of the orb that they couldn't hear each other.

That roar still hadn't pacified and the woman threw ten more orbs at them.

"Mister Adijha, watch out!" Kamoor shouted, witnessing an orb flying toward them at lightning speed.

Suddenly lethal dagger-tails surged out of ground and wielded around them erratically. Out of so many dagger-tails, one moved toward the orb and sliced it off from the mid, just right before it was going to crash with them. When the orb got demolished, it produced a loud piercing roar.

Kamoor was left awe-struck. The pebbles that got blown from the blast couldn't even close his eyes. Adijha was sitting on his toes and was just beaming at him.

More orbs came flying toward them together, same at the speed of the previous one. Dagger-tails that were wielding around them slashed, crushed and sliced off those orbs, one after another. Both, dagger-tails and orbs were moving in a flash that Kamoor couldn't follow their speed with his naked eyes.

Whenever an orb crushed, it thundered a blast. Their clothes and hair were furling with every blast that orbs thundered. Adijha didn't even move his finger against those orb as if they didn't even exist for him. He was just grinning looking at Kamoor. He didn't even bother himself to do anything as his thick deadly dagger-tails were doing the job for him. He was just waiting for this show to end.

When all orbs got destroyed. He stood up and gave a death glare to the woman.

"It's the end of the line for you."

A white flashy light was seen stretching out behind him as he skid his way toward the woman. She got so awed witnessing his speed that she forgot to recite the spell. A gentle breeze kissed her face when Adijha halted himself right in front of her face.

A sharp edged blade grew out of the bone-line of his arm. He swung his arm to cut her off but soon he realised that he cut off nothing but an empty air as the woman vanished from there.

"She's gone." He smoothed his hair. The blade that was grown out of his arm got dispersed.

'He's really strong. He ended this fight in seconds.' Kamoor pondered, fixing his amazed gaze at Adijha's back.

He came out of his thoughts when he heard someone calling out his name. He looked back and noticed, Azeal and Sierra running toward him. He greeted them with a radiant smile.

"You both are fine?" Kamoor asked, he pushed himself up with his hand on the ground.

"We should ask you this....." Sierra replied, examining his condition from head to toe. "...... Anyways, here's your spellbook." She held out the book.

Kamoor's face wore the sweetest smile to see his spellbook. He grabbed it and started rubbing it against his cheek. "Today I felt so useless without it."

"Where's that woman? Let's kick her ass together." Azeal bawled, he punched his fist onto his palm.

"She's gone." Kamoor shifted his gaze to Adijha.

Both of them followed his gaze. Their jaws dropped to see Adijha. "MISTER ADIJHA! WHAT'S HE DOING HERE!!?" Both shouted out in unison.

HUH! WHAT'S WITH THE REACTION!!? HHUUUHH!!!" Adijha yelled at them getting frustrated over their reaction.

He calmed himself down and sighed wearily. "Let's go back to the castle, it's not safe here."

~•*•~

After some time, they reached the castle. As they moved inside, Kamoor noticed that there was no guard-man at the front gate. As he kept moving his feet, he found that not a single guard was standing at the massive-opend gates of the halls. There was no one to be seen in the whole castle. Only silence was wandering there. Adijha led them to the throne hall.

'Where's everyone?' Kamoor said underneath his breath.

Adijha's steps paused, he cracked a smile looking back at them. "Give me the spellbook, I'll pass it to your father. That way it will stay safe, in your father's hands."

Azeal folded his forearms behind his head and nodded. "I absolutely agree with this. Give him the book, Kamoor."

"Wait, Azeal." Kamoor tilted his head and passed a sneer to Adijha. "How'd you know that this spellbook isn't mine but my father's. I didn't remember telling you this."

Azeal frowned, he looked at Kamoor, then he looked ahead at Adijha. The warm smile didn't fade from Adijha's face. He took a step forward to them.

"Now's not the time to think about such unnecessary things." There was a slight change in his pitch, it was slightly louder than before.

Kamoor's dubious gaze stared at Adijha's face. "Back then, thank you for saving me. But I think, it'll be better if I give this book to my father myself. Let's go, Sierra...Azeal."

Azeal and Sierra examined Adijha from head to toe then nodded their head looking at Kamoor.

They just turned their heads toward the hall's door then out of the blue Adijha began to laugh. They got perplexed by his sudden laugh, they looked back at him. That laugh turned into a guffaw.

His guffaw resonated throughout the lone castle. After some while, that laugh came to an end. He did a face palm and sighed.

He peeked at them through the slight gaps between his fingers. "That's why I don't like smart kids, like you."

Suddenly the massive-opend door of the hall behind them slammed-close itself. They looked at the door with startle looks on their faces.

The warm smile had peeled away from Adijha's face as if he had become a whole different person. Those lips had taken a form of malevolence smile. He shot a baleful glance at them.

"Then I have to take it by force." Those words sent shivers to their whole spines.

Kamoor pondered, setting his wide-opened eyes at him. 'So he was the ringmaster behind all those mid-night attacks.'
