Minnie's mouth hung open wide in shock.
Lalisa had given her too much information to absorb. She did not know where to begin.
"So, is your father okay now?"
Lalisa shook her head. "I don't know either. Jin has hidden him somewhere safe, but I believe Jin will do his best to save my father."
Minnie's face was filled with guilt. "I'm sorry. Something so big happened to you, and I couldn't help at all. 20,000 compared to 1,000,000 is like a drop in a well."
Lalisa comforted her. "It doesn't matter. In fact, you encouraged me and gave me hope. If it weren't for you, I would have been isolated, without a single friend in this world!"
Minnie recalled the time when her family's incident had happened.
She was completely cut off from her financial resources, and had to work part-time to support herself and afford her tuition fees.
At that time, she held a strong sense of independence, refusing any financial aid from Lalisa.
However, Lalisa would always bring her home for meals. In the end, Minnie could not refuse her. She even stayed in Lalisa's attic for more than a year.
She did not move out until she entered college.
Therefore, Lalisa's kindness toward her had always stayed in her heart.
She had felt extremely guilty for not being able to help Lalisa in her time of need.
Minnie adjusted her state of mind. "But it's a good thing that you met your husband! You're amazing. You actually got married! You were both strangers to begin with and you got married just like that? How dare you?
"But I also understand your feelings. You were trapped with no way out. Jin was more like a star in the night for you. He saved you!
"How far have the two of you progressed? Do you really plan on spending the rest of your life with him?
"What about Bambam? Do you not like him anymore?"
Lalisa's heart pounded violently.
Bambam.
To be honest, she had not thought about him for the past few days.
Perhaps it was because too many things had happened, or perhaps it was because she had made up her mind to let go of him.
"I don't think we are fated to be together. Moreover, Jin has been so good to me. I will not do anything that will let him down. I'll get along and develop a relationship with him."
Seeing Lalisa's determined expression, Minnie could only sigh regretfully in her heart.
She had always felt that Lalisa and Bambam were really a good match.
They were a perfect match. They were both Korean, and their thoughts as well as cultural traditions were aligned.
"Then, is your husband good to you?"
Lalisa nodded. "Of course! Jin is a very gentle and kind person. I'll introduce you to him when I have the chance."
If Adam and Adela had known of what Lalisa had said, they would definitely have laughed their heads off!
Kind? Gentle?
These two words did not suit Jin at all!
"If your father recovers and you return the million yuan back to your husband, will he let you leave? Will you continue to pursue a relationship with Bambam?"
Lalisa was stunned when she heard that.
She had never thought of it that way.
"How could I do something like burning the bridge after crossing the river?
"Minnie, I'm very sure that I won't have any chance with Bambam.
"You don't know this, but he has recently returned to Korea. I heard that something happened to his fiancée's family, and that was why he disappeared without a trace!"
Lalisa was still furious at that very thought.
Her relationship with Bambam had been ambiguous. Although they had not even held hands, they only needed that one step to bring their relationship to the next level.
She was very sure that he also had feelings for her.
She had only just realized that the only reason why they did not have a relationship was because she did not have the qualifications.
Bambam had almost made her his mistress.
