The car soon arrived at the hotel where the wedding was to be held.
Lalisa clenched her fists tightly. Her expression was tense as she pretended to be calm.
On the way to the dressing room, she seemed to be looking around anxiously. In fact, she was quietly observing her surroundings.
Uncle Park and Aunt Park noticed Lalisa’s behaviour. As they had been about to enter the venue, they felt uneasy and asked Chaeyoung to watch over her.
Lalisa deliberately asked, “What are you doing here? Are you afraid that I’ll run away?”
The word ‘run away’ immediately took root in Chaeyoung’s mind. She threatened back, “I’m not afraid of you running away, unless you don’t want your father anymore…”
Lalisa gritted her teeth, sitting down obediently to put on her makeup.
Chaeyoung liked to see her being bullied.
Minnie ignored Chaeyoung as she acted coquettishly to Lalisa with envy. “Lisa, it’s still early. Can I try on your wedding dress? I’m afraid I’ll never have the chance to wear such an expensive wedding dress in my life. For the sake of our long friendship, please let me wear it for a while.”
“Of course you can. It’s not that beautiful to me anyway.” Lalisa did not seem to mind.
Chaeyoung knew that Minnie was Lalisa’s best friend. Both of them were equally poor and inexperienced. They had been working everywhere. Indeed, she was right. This was definitely the only chance for her to wear such an expensive wedding dress.
However, how could such a poor working girl deserve to wear such an exquisite wedding dress?
Seeing that Minnie was going to try on the wedding dress, she suddenly shouted. “Stop right there!”
Minnie ignored her before quickly leaving with the wedding dress in her arms. Chaeyoung immediately chased her to the changing room and grabbed onto her clothes to pull her back. “Do you think you deserve to wear this dress? My parents bought this!”
Chaeyoung glanced at Lalisa in the mirror before ordering in a disdainful tone, “Minnie, help me put it on and take a photo . Do me a favor and perhaps my unconscious uncle will recover faster.”
Lalisa’s expression turned even uglier.
Seeing her friend’s unwitting expression, Minnie reluctantly helped Chaeyoung change. After that, she even took a photo of her.
She glared as she couldn’t stop herself from commenting. “You’re so ugly. You’re wearing such expensive clothes, yet you’re still so ugly.”
Chaeyoung saw that the photo of herself was dark and short, so she proceeded to slap Minnie on the face , “You took such an ugly photo on purpose. I’m telling you, you’ll regret it!”
Minnie was not an easy person to deal with. Naturally, she would not take it lying down. The both of them started fighting in the changing room.
Amidst the fighting, Minnie suddenly shouted, “Don’t touch Lisa’s drink!”
She pushed Chaeyoung away nervously, picking up the drink that was on the ground when the photo was taken. She carefully protected it in her arms.
“What kind of drink is this?” Chaeyoung was tempted to snatch it away. As long as it was something that belonged to Lalisa, she wanted it for herself. Of course, Minnie would not give it to her.
“This is a specially concocted collagen fluid. I specially got it for Lisa. After drinking it, her face will be as red as a peach blossom. Many celebrities drink it before their performances…”
She sneered at Chaeyoung. “It’s normal that you don’t know. You’re so ugly. It would be a waste for you to have it.”
“You’re lying, I’ve never heard of this kind of thing.” Chaeyoung was a little tempted, but she still refused to admit it.
“I’ll give you a sip. You’ll know how ignorant you are.” Minnie opened the lid of the bottle, and a refreshing fragrance spread throughout the room. She raised the cup before taking a big sip. The skin on her cheeks was indeed stained with a touch of red, making her look charming and alluring.
Chaeyoung was more tempted. The effect was so obvious when Minnie drank it. Now, she immediately wanted it for herself.
She did not know that there were such specially-made collagen drinks. So… Lalisa had been drinking this for so many years to maintain her appearance? This was the reason why she had always been overshadowed by Lalisa!
After so many years, how many opportunities had she missed to become beautiful?!
The more Chaeyoung thought about it, the more she was unwilling to accept it.
No matter what, she must not let Lalisa succeed today. She must not let her be in the limelight nor let her save face in front of the guests during the wedding.
She snatched the drink away from Minnie’s hand before pouring the ‘specially concocted collagen water’ directly into her mouth.
The moment the drink touched her lips, she immediately realized that something was wrong.
She had been tricked!
This was not collagen water at all!
It was chili water!
Chaeyoung looked at Minnie in disbelief. She wanted to spit it out, but she couldn’t. She had swallowed it too aggressively just now. At that moment, her mouth felt like it was on fire.
This was the first time Minnie has smiled sincerely today. She spat the drink in her own mouth onto the curtain before walking out of the room.
Chaeyoung quickly looked for her phone before realizing that she had handed it to Minnie when she asked her to take a photo.
She wanted to scream, but she couldn’t make any sound because of the burning hot pepper.
‘What are you trying to do?!’
She fell to the ground,slowly crawling to the corner.
Minnie opened her mouth, revealing her specially fitted tongue cover. She hadn’t touched the hot peppers, but in order to make her face look as pink as a peach blossom, she had hidden a spice in her mouth which would make her cheeks flush red. She lowered her voice and said, “I’ll give you a big gift.”
