Fighting

The movies lie.

The guy gets the girl?

They live happily ever after?

Everything is easy breezy?

That's not how it happens.

In reality there is struggle.

There's another character plotting your downfall,

There's always someone, or something, in the way.

There's doubt and fear.

Too many times has the girl been let down.

Too many times has the guy fallen for the wrong girl.

Too many times have both their hearts been broken...

And too many times has she pushed him away in fear.

He isn't supposed to fight back.

No one has ever fought back.

No one has tried to explain what he felt for her.

No one has gotten close enough to see her at her worst,

And still fight back.

Her mind is a terrible place.

It terrorizes her with lies.

You'll never find love.

You'll never be good enough.

You'll never look good enough.

But he makes her doubt those thoughts.

She has found someone,

She is better than enough,

She is gorgeous-and he makes sure to tell her everyday.

And she is finally happy.

The movies lie,

But they do have their moments of truth.

Cause she has finally found the right guy,

After so many twists in the plot.
