Time

Time.

Time is never on my side.

When I met you,

Time stopped.

Time didn't exist.

It was just two days,

But there was no such thing as time.

And it stayed that way for months.

But the problem with time is,

When it stops,

It always has to speed up to catch up.

And now we're not on our own time.

We're on borrowed time.

And we're on different timezones.

When I wake up, you're asleep.

When you're at work, I'm in class.

When I'm out of school, you're on your way.

When you get out, I'm doing homework.

When I'm done with homework, you're starting yours.

And when you're done with yours, I'm already asleep.

This process continues and repeats day after day.

How much longer can we keep up with this routine?

How much longer can we continue on this downward spiral?

The littlest things are pushing us over;

On this path, we won't last till December.

We're both trying so hard...

Don't apologize for that.

It's not our fault after all.

We borrowed some time for a while,

I guess the debt is due.
