It was getting quite late; Alan was getting worried as to how Bella was getting home. The last message that she had was that she was on her way home and that was at around 6pm. It was coming up to 9pm.
Tom was sat down waiting by watching the Christmas Eve movie The Grinch. He then got a message ping up on his phone.
'Hello Tom xx.' It was from Bella.
'Where are you?' Tom sent back.
'Get dad to open the front door for me please. I have my suitcase with me.' Bella replied.
Tom got up and headed to the front door to see Bella just closing the boot of her car and locking it up.
"Bella?" Alan was confused as to how Bella had got home.
"Bella? How did you get home?" Alan asked.
"I drove here. I passed my driving test yesterday." Bella told her dad.
"You drove here? Did you come down the M1 or the A1?"
"The A1. My instructor told me to go that way as I need to get some more experience on the road." Bella hugged Tom and then shut the door behind her.
"So, let's get this party started then hey." Bella plonked herself down on the sofa and watched the ending of The Grinch.
