𝐀𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 || ˢᵃⁱˡᵒʳ ᴹᵒᵒⁿ

|~Prologue~|

Princess Serenity and her royal court were outside in the royal gardens playing and having fun. But what they didn't know was that someone was watching them from a one way glass window, someone that wished they were there with them.

The just turned 14 year old girl sighed as she picked up another book to read and learn. The girl I am speaking of is none other that the second princess of Silver Millennium, Princess Celina Astera Small Lady Serenity. Heard of her? I didn't think so.

This princess has been locked up in the castle all her life. She was never allowed to make friends, leave the palace, and the only thing she could do freely is read to her hearts content. Even on her birthday, she didn't even get a greeting from anyone.

However, this made her the smartest person is Silver Millennium. The little Princess couldn't resist after seeing them all laughing at her elder sisters joke and put the book down. She stared through the window hoping that one day she could be like her so called "amazing" sister.

She was always jealous of her sister as she believed she was the one that should be on her place. While she was locked up studying, her and her royal court were messing about, not having a care in the world. Celina was not even allowed to meet her OWN royal court as she was too "special"

Because of her sisters selfishness, she was the one to carry her rightful burden of becoming the next queen. Because of the little Princess being lost in her thoughts, she did not notice the entry of the only person who truly cared for her- the queen herself- Queen Serenity.

"Why aren't you studying my child?" The queen asks in a questioning tone. The girl then snapped out of her trance and faced her mother, giving her a worried expression.

"W..what do.. you.. mean.. mother...I'm reading...just like you ask of me..." She replied, stuttering at her every word.
"Are you sure? It looks like you were dozing off. You know, as-"

The queen gets cut off by her daughter "the next queen of Silver Millennium it is my duty as the heir to learn everything I need to know about being queen so when the time comes I can rule with love and justice. Mother, you've told me this about a million times now, I don't think it seems to be working.."

"It does work, it's just your commitment, that is what's not working. You should be more focused on your studies than watching your sister and her royal court doing their duties-"

This caused the princess to lose her temper "Duties!? You call playing in the royal gardens with her friends duties!? Mother that should be ME out there! SHE is the one that gets to leave the palace! SHE is the one who is allowed to go to earth and have fun. SHE is the one who gets to make her own decisions! But what about me! What do I get!?"

Silence was all she was answered with as the wind slightly blew through the room. The princess had tears streaming down her puffy cheeks, and the queen had been left speechless. She did not expect the sudden outburst of her daughter. She always accepted whatever she asked of her, so this was new for the queen.

"That's what I thought mother. I'm younger that her but alas it's me who is the one that has to do all the hard work. Even on my birthday, no one even knows that is is my birthday. The guards say NOTHING to me because they are forbidden to speak with me under YOUR orders! While Serenity can just dose off with her royal court. What about MY royal court? Oh wait.. I haven't even met them because I'm confined in my room with only reading, sleeping and eating as my options for the day!!!"

The queen couldn't respond. She didn't know how. She never thought of Serenity having no real work while her other daughter had to carry her work aswell as her own. This caused her heart to break finally realising how cruel she had been to her daughter.

"Oh sweetie...it's not like that-"

The queen started to speak. However, she was cut off by Celina saying a few words with an assertive voice

"Just Leave"

The queen then left to continue her royal duties whereas Celina collapsed into the floor and huddled herself up into a fetal position. The only thing she could do was cry, and that's what she did. She poured tears for hours, not even looking up at the books that lay untouched in her bedroom.

Whispers from the few staff that did take care of the princess gossiped about how the eldest was as free as a dove and her sister was a caged crow. "Princess Serenity loves to go out down to earth, but poor Celina has to pay the price and be locked up in her room. Pity for the little Princess..."

One of the maids claim. The others gasp in pure shock and realisation of what has been taking place. They had just been too naive to notice. With the eldest moon princesses probability of marring herself off to the earth kingdom, the second princess would be forced to take her place.

"It's quite heartbreaking to see such a little one to be forced to rule a kingdom that she hasn't even experienced with her own eyes. And the fact that the one that should be in her place is doing what she longs to be."

"And we are under strict guidelines to not make any contact with her, she's been in a lockdown all her life. If only Princess Serenity could find someway to help her sister..."

The Princess could hear there gossips which made her cry even more. She knew that even if her sister could help, she would decide not to, because of her pure hatred for her little sister. The younger was forced into this life all because of her sisters selfish desire of loving the earth prince.

This caused her to be fiered with hatred for her sister, her sister's lover, and the most tragic one of all...love itself...

But what no one knew is that would be the end of Silver Millennium, and the role of the second princess would be no more. There would be no reason for Celina to live anymore. Well...that's what everyone thought...
