Luca plops a wet rock in my hand. The rock is a shiny black, the sun and water mixing it together to get that 'shiny' look. "What type of rock is this?" I ask, tossing it up into the air, catching, then repeating that pattern.

"Dunno. Maybe Momma knows." Luca suggested, hopping to his feet and grabbing my hand. As he pulls me up, he drags me over to his house. His mother is preparing fruits onto a tray. Strawberries and mangoes, must be from their garden, it looks fresh.

Both Luca and I practically hopped into outer space showing his mother the rock. "Oh boys, I don't know one thing about rocks." She said, her sweet-motherly tone making me forgive her. She pops a strawberry in my mouth and a mango in Luca's.

"Thanks, Mrs. Lilac!" I thanked her. Luca elbowed me and then thanked his mother as well. "Don't get too dirty, Luca, we can't use up all of our water on you everyday." Both Luca and I nodded then rushed out the door to get back to playing.

We headed back over to the lake and then sat down next to each other. I fished out a rock and started pretending it was a car. "Vroom vroom," Luca chuckled, "do you think cars would ever look like that one day?"
"Maybe. Things have been growing pretty fast." I shrugged.

Luca hopped up and bopped me on the head. "Cool idea!" He announced. "We should pretend to be in the future!" He giggled. "What would even be in the future," I asked, "flying cars?"
"And robots! Beep boop, boop beep!"

We both hopped to our feet, discussed the roles, and began using our imagination. I pretended to be a robot at Luca's service. "Beep boop, Master, I have come to your side. Bop beep!" I moved my arms robotically.

"Go and fetch me..." He pondered for a moment. "Some high-quality, gold star dog food to feed my dog, uhhh," Jasmine then rubbed Luca's leg as if he were a cat, "Drip Drip Boy." I held in my laughter. "Drip Drip Boy? That's the name of your dog?" I laughed. "In the future I'm going to be rich and so will my dog! Now go on  servant!"

I pretend to leave a room to the outside. I fetched some "high-quality, gold star dog food" (which was just grass), then headed back in. "Do you have my high-quality, gold star dog food?" He interrogated. "Yes, Master. Beep bop!"

I let the grass fall into his hand as he fed it to Drip Drip Boy. Which was just the neighborhood dog, Jasmine. Or his name could be Lilac, Geode, or Purple. Luca and I usually did Jasmine and Lilac for the dog though.

Jasmine barked and then scurried away. Mrs. Lilac then sauntered out here and over to us. "Luca, It's time to do chores, your father said so." Mrs. Lilac smiled at me and waved as she headed back inside.

"See ya, Light." He frowned then ran back inside. "See ya!" I shouted back. I don't know why he seemed to be so sad, he can play with me tomorrow. I headed back over to the river and went back to collecting some rocks.
