Chapter 2: Secrets cooking up

*In this chapter we will be looking at it from Eli's Point of view for the whole chapter then it will go back to how it was*

ELI'S POV:
I felt the breeze in my face and body. My eyelids shut completely not opening one bit. My body free falling. I couldn't get my mind straight. I just couldn't stop thinking of the masked figure. Now I knew I was gonna die well that's what I thought then all of a sudden a pair of arms wrap around me then my body hits a surface but I didn't feel like I hit the ground. On the earth floor. I then open my eyes to see a pair of gorgeous dark brown eyes staring down at me while smiling. It was Hannah she had saved me "We thought you were gone" she says helping me up then handing my shield to me "I'm gonna go help the others you be careful on the heli-carrier ok" she says holding my shoulders. I don't know what I felt but I couldn't find the right words to say to her "I-uhh" I try speaking but I couldn't then Adam lands besides us "Hannah I need your help the masked figure is attacking the engine and Eli. Fury needs help on the main control room" he says then he jumps and starts floating away. Hannah looks at me "be careful ok I can't always save you" I look into her eyes "don't worry I'll be fine and plus I owe you... maybe a date" I say acting like a weirdo then giving her a wink. She gives a soft but cute smile "You better" she then teleports to Adam. I bolt to the control room where fury is shooting at the remaining soldiers. I help out by using my shield to hit them and then I retrieve my shield then I quickly throw my shield to fury so he could have some cover while I bash the rest of the soldiers suddenly one soldier jumps on my back giving powerful punches to my head I grab their wrist and fling them off my back making them fly into the wall instantly knocking them out. Before I go back to fury I quickly check to see if the soldiers are down then unexpectedly the heli-carrier starts free falling. The damage that hydra left made the heli-carrier uncontrollably "WE GOT TO GO NOW NICK!" I shout At Fury "I CANT LET THIS GET DESTROYED" he says standing in the middle of the wrecked Control room "ITS ALREADY DESTROYED NICK WE GOTTA GO!" Then Hannah And Peter get to the control room "WHAT ARE YOU GUYS DOING WE GOTTA GO THE HELI-CARRIER IS GONNA CRASH!" Peter shouts while panicking "I'M TRYING TO TELL FURY BUT HE'S NOT MOVING!" I shout back at Peter While pointing at fury who looks disappointed about this incident "Look we don't have time just everyone hold my hands so I can teleport us out of here" Hannah says calmly while holding both her hands out. I look at fury then I grab nick pulling him to Hannah I quickly grab onto Hannah's hand then she closes her eyes then we teleport to an harbour out of the city that's near an Shield HQ we let each other's hands go "Wait Hannah where's the others" Peter says looking at her "I don't know" then we all get shocked when we see Adam, Yelena, Kate, Maria and the other shield agents landing on the ground floor all because of Adam saving them. I run over to Adam "you ok man" I look at him. He was wounded he stumbles in my arms "HELP ADAMS BEEN INJURED!" Shield Agents carry Adam inside headquarters. Yelena and Kate comes up to me "what happened to Adam" I looked at them scared for Adams life "The masked figure he stabbed Adam. Adam fought him till Where the masked figure got pushed and he fell off the heli-carrier and even though Adam was weak he'd still use his powers to help everyone get out" Yelena than gives me a paper "that guy dropped it I quickly grabbed before it blew away" she said then her and Kate go to see Adam. I open the paper looking at it I get shocked it was a photo of me when I was a baby. All of sudden Hannah comes by me "What's that" she said looking at me suspiciously I put the photo in my pocket as fast as I can then I turn to her "oh it's nothing anyways what's up" I say nervously she looks at me with a look on her face like she knew what it was but she didn't question it "oh um fury wants to speak with you about the incident" she said "ok I'll see you later" as I was about to go she grabs my hand and pulls me into a hug I instantly blush feeling all kinds of emotions like I was in love "and I wanted to know if you were ok" she talked while holding me. I felt butterflies in my stomach even though I was a dude and I'd always thought it was only the girls who'd always feel butterflies in their stomach "I-uhhh....Umm feel ok thanks for asking" I then held her in the hug. Out of nowhere Peter comes and sees us "What are you two doing" he says me and Hannah quickly pull apart. I then could see her face was bright red. Was she blushing "I was checking on Eli Pete it's ok" she says trying hard not to give eye contact "oh umm ok" he then walks away she stares at me. Her gorgeous dark brown eyes always gets me smiling. "I better get going see you around Eli" she teleports somewhere to live me. I think I was in love with her but I don't think she would want to date me after the things I did to her in the past I had treated her like sh!t and bullied her cause of my stupid ex girlfriend Maddie she made me think Hannah was bullying her when really she was the bully and treating Hannah like a peasant and even beating her up. I hated myself when I found out the truth. I just wish I didn't do any of the things I did to Hannah she's a angel from heaven and I just acted like the devil's child. Anyways I'd went to nicks office and he was just staring out of his window looking at the harbour "took your time Bradley" he said while turning towards me "Sorry I was busy" I say rubbing my neck "you mean busy with Parker" he says smiling at me "how did you know" I say while my face turns into a bright tomato "I have my ways well actually I seen you through the window anyways the point is we have to talk about the incident that had happened" he sits on his chair then he points to the opposite chair meaning he wanted me to sit I directly follow his orders and sit "so let's talk about what happened on the heli-carrier" He looks at me waiting for an answer "what part me nearly going splat or you not wanting to leave your wife because she fall out of love like literally" I say "really funny Bradley but no you saved me I didn't want to leave cause this was a masterpiece to but you snapped me out of it why did you do that after how I treated Isaiah" He says looking at me "Look I'm leader and leaders don't let people die they help them whatever it takes" I said "your just like Rogers and Wilson even when you were fighting with a shield it just reminded me of them" he says looking at all the old news articles in frames on his walls they were about the avengers, tony stark, Steve Rogers, Natasha Romanoff you name it. He stares at me "I made the avengers to bring a group of remarkable people here to call them heroes to make the world safer then when I lost them The world gave up on heroes so I wanted to show them we still have hope" He continues to speak "You guys aren't just special or unique you guys are... remarkable and amazing human beings who can save this world and make it a better place..... I just know it" he holds out his hand "and you to be the leader of this team" I look at him "so Elijah Bradley do accept this position" I stand up "I accept Nick I won't let you down" I say shaking his hand "Good and also don't call nick" as soon as we sat down. Maria comes in "Sorry to bother But Strange wants Bradley and the others in the medbay with him" Nick looks at me "you can go kid" he then tells Maria to come to him I leave them be and head to medbay where everyone was as soon as I step foot. They go quiet for a while until Adam sits up on the bed he then speaks "Sup Eli so how did the meeting thing go with nick" everyone looks at me "it went good" I say. "So should we start the young Avengers" Adam says looking at everyone "I mean if everyone agrees" I say that moment everyone raises their hands meaning they agreed "So whose the leader" Adam says "Do we really need a leader" Hannah interrupts "I mean we can plan things together we can just work together and stuff" She walk over to Adams bed "maybe Hannah's right we don't need a leader" Adam says supporting Hannah opinion I feel bad cause I just agreed to be the leader for this team with Nick I couldn't tell them about this or the photo the masked figure had. Then all of sudden the news turns on and the reporter on the screen starts talking "Welcome back breaking news hydra had striked an unknown Battle ship in air above New York City its been reported that it had crashed somewhere in sea near New York reports say a group of people who believed to Look like superheroes had saved people on that battle ship and everyone is questioning is this a new superhero group like the avengers-..." the tv turns off some how then we spot Maria and Nick standing by the door with a remote "that's enough of that today" nick looking at everyone like he was hiding something suddenly Maria interrupts Nick "we have organised Vehicles to take you home we will arrange some sort of meeting to meet up and talk about this group could you please follow me to the main lobby and mr Strange don't worry your father will come pick you up since he knows about your injury the rest of you come with. Me" we all say goodbye to Adam and we follow Maria to main lobby "Kate bishop and Yelena Belova you can go in this suv" she points to it "Then Hannah, Peter And Eli you go in suv" she points in another direction to Another suv. We say goodbye to Yelena and Kate. Then we drive for thirty five minutes in the whole car ride I kept staring at Hannah who was staring outside. Peter could see me staring so I stopped we didn't talk at all none of us I kept thinking about the photo and the masked vigilante and me not telling them about the leader role. We pull up at our apartment I live next door to them. As soon as we hopped out of the car Maria's window goes down "remember if your caretaker asks where you guys have been say you were at a friends house ok" we nod our head "ok we will send you details for the next meet up other then that enjoy the rest of your night" she drives off in to the darkness. We go up to our apartment Building then we decide to take an elevator up to our floor. Me being an idiot starts an weird conversation with Hannah "today was so crazy today right" I start to fiddle with my hands she looks at me then looks back at the elevator door "Yeah today was crazy" we both laugh Meanwhile Peter starts giving me the stink eye he's hated me ever since the incident of me bullying Hannah happened "can you two stop flirting" he says getting angry "we are not flirting" Hannah replies "Yeah yeah whatever" Peter replies back not long after the elevator doors open. We walk off and walk to our apartment doors. Peter goes into their apartment first then Hannah stops me "I'm sorry about him he's a pain in the butt" She says holding my hand "it's ok and also thank you" I hug Hannah "Thank you for saving me today" I let go of her "so I'll see you tomorrow at school" she smiles "Yeah I'll see you tomorrow Eli" she waves goodbye then goes into her apartment. I stand there for a bit thinking about her before going into my apartment as soon as I go in my adoptive Father is sleeping on the couch with beers. Your probably be wondering and my grandfather died so I got adopted by a drug-addict no one knows but it's kinda hard keeping it a secret anyways I go to my room and I shut and lock my door so no one comes in I take the photo out and look at it I just wonder who is this person and how do they know me. I had to get some rest I put the photo of me away and I lie down on my bed I close my eyes and doze off to sleep.
