Both are edgy, ruthless anti-heroes of their respective series and one of the few survivors of an tragic event that slaughtered most of their people (Frieza destroyed Planet Vegeta along with most Saiyans living there and Itachi killed his own clan to prevent a coup and being annihilated by Konoha)
Both walked the path of a villain but redeemed themselves after sometime later in their series (Vegeta is humbled after spending time on Earth, whereas Sasuke decided to help Naruto beat Madara Uchiha in the 4th Shinobi War)
Both swore revenge against the person responsible said said near genocide of their race (Frieza and Itachi Uchiha respectively) and had gained success albeit in different circumstances (Sasuke defeated Itachi but was revealed to have a sickness which prevented Itachi from going all-out. On the other hand, Vegeta's rival Goku is the one who defeated Frieza during the Frieza Saga and was ultimately killed by his future son Trunks in the Android Saga)
