First Job

"WHAT?! I can't do that I'm only 17years old isn't that illegal." I look at him like he was a mad man but I look behind him to see a girl on stage that looks younger than me.

He shakes his head while he chuckles and his grey eyes look at me with amusement.

"Listen baby girl inside this strip club the only law we have is that customers can't touch the dancers so what do you say, wanna be one of sugar daddies newest dancer." He looks at a me with hope in his eyes.

"....Urmm how much money do I get paid." The smirk he gives me sent chills down my spine. " it depends on what job you want or what I feel like you'll be good at."

What does he mean? He asks if I need a ride home, I was hesitant but i nodded my head yes. I followed him to his car and got in the passenger seat and put on my seatbelt. The ride wasn't as awkward as I thought it would be but it was silent besides the radio.

I gave him directions to my house. He parked in the driveway slowly and as I was getting out he grabbed my arm. " Here buy yourself something nice." he said as he handed me a roll of money held together by a rubber band.

I just looked at it closed my hand and got out of the car with the rolled up money in my hand. As he pulled out of the driveway I turned around and went straight to my room. On my way to my room in front of my door was a small brown leather box with a note attached.

As I stood there with a brown leather box in one hand and a roll of money in the other hand I pushed my room door open stumbled in and kicked the door closed I put the money and the box on my bed and threw my bag in the floor.

I just stood there looking at the two thing with millions of questions running around in my head.

I choose to count the money and find out that Jaxon gave me ten grand. As I finished counting it I smile and jump with joy like a five year old when she gets her favorite Barbie doll.

I stop jumping and contemplated on whether I should open the box or not and I say to hell with it and open the box to see an sky blue iPhone 5c, my favorite color, and I set it up like my old iPhone and my stomach starts to growl.

I get up and walk downstairs to the kitchen and make some ramen noodles as I'm almost finished with my food the doorbell rings I go see who's at the door and I see Karmen waiting patiently.

I open the door and she walks in. " Yeah come on in you don't have to ask." I say with sarcasm she laughs. " sorry I was just excited to come over plus I was looking for you I was worried cause I kept calling you and you wouldn't answer." she looked at me waiting for an explanation.

"...Ummmm see what had happened was I was taking a walk and I forgot that I put my phone on silent so that it wouldn't go off in class." I said while rubbing the back of my neck. She seemed relieved that I was ok.

She walked toward me and gave me a hug. She let go and said that she'll see me later and left in her car.

I looked at the time and it was only 3:50 so I grabbed my phone and wallet that had the money in it and walked to the public bus stop that goes to the mall.

I walk up my driveway with both hand filled with shopping bag, I unlocked the door and waddled to get inside. I walked up the steps to my room and placed all the bags on my bed as I put all my new clothes away my old phone rang.

I looked at the caller Id and it said Jaxon I answered. " Hey Skylar I need you to come in tomorrow since it's Saturday ok bye." he hung up before I could say anything.

Stripping was not what I pictured as my first job but if it pays good money than I guess I this is my only chance. I finished putting everything away and turned off my light and went to sleep happy there was no school tomorrow.
