More Than A Friend

Yeosang and Yunho have been friends since God knows when. It all probably started when both of their parents met in the hospital. Both of their moms met because they're having the same schedule that day and they quickly became friends. It was Yunho's mother's first pregnancy, so Yeosang's mom gave her a lot of advice since she's in her second child already. 

And that's why few months later, Yunho was born and when Yeosang's mom came to visit, she said as she hold him

"Yunho-ya, please take care of my little one later, okay? Be a good friend with him, and I hope you both will support each other like me and your mother."

Sometimes, Yeosang hoped that his mom didn't say the word 'friend', because right now he felt like he was in the perfect area of friendzone.

"Yeosangie!"

The bright golden puppy was peeking his head through Yeosang's bedroom door. He smiled so wide, his eyes showed a thousand stars, Yeosang could swear that he could see a wagging invisible tail behind him.

"Yunho! What's up?"

The bright golden puppy—Yunho, took a seat in Yeosang's bed while the owner himself was still sitting on his desk with homeworks scattered around the surface of the table.

"I'm bored. We have one week left of summer vacation before we're back on campus." He said while throwing himself back and lying down on the soft mattress.

"You know you can always do your homeworks—"

"Anything except that, please."

Yunho cut him off before Yeosang could even finish whatever he was about to say. The younger one laughed a little, knowing that his best friend, the love of his life, would do anything except doing his assignments. He will do it when it is near the deadline and take an all-nighter on a go.

Did he just mention the love of his life?

Yes, Yeosang has been in love with his only best friend who he had known since he was just a fetus, for God knows when. Yeosang probably realized that the feeling he's feeling right now was different back in junior high school. When he was supposed to get a girl, he couldn't. Even on Valentine's Day, the only person he thought of giving was his best friend. He thought it was normal until a girl who confessed to him said that the thing he did for Yunho was not because he was his best friend, but he did it out of love.

Yeosang was dumbfounded at first. But when he saw Yunho after that, his heartbeat was so loud he's scared that his heart would come out of his mouth. He had to avoid Yunho for a few weeks until the lost puppy had to show up in front of his doorstep with a tail and puppy ears hanging low. His face looked so lost and sad because he didn't know what he did wrong and he didn't want Yeosang to be mad at him.

The guilt quickly crept on Yeosang when he saw the sad expression on his best friend's face. But in the end they're back like Mario and Luigi. The two friends that nobody could ever separate. And it continues until they're a sophomore in college.

So back to the recent time, where Yunho was lying on Yeosang's bed, bored. And the owner of the room sat on his desk while looking at the big puppy who's really adorable and Yeosang could swear to himself that he would do anything to hold and cuddle him right at that moment.

"Then do you want to hangout instead? Let's go to the arcade."

Yunho quickly brought himself to sit at the edge of the bed with a big smile on his face. He loves to play games, and Yeosang knew it well. Arcades are like heaven to him.
