a few days before Devil's Night

"Nic! Mom said that you should- Oh, hi Kiara, " Briar exclaimed, opening his sister's door. She and Kiara were sitting on the floor and had papers around them. "We will come downstairs fast. We just need to plan this- " "She said now. Her words, not mine, " Briar answered, leaving them alone. "Sometimes I want to strangle him, " Nicole said, looking at Kiara. Kiara smiled, looking at the girl with a concerning look. They went downstairs, only to find Lare's there.

"Annie! " Nicole hugged the girl. Ever since Annie was born everyone loved her. She's a happy kid, who couldn't love the smile and warmth she brought when she entered the room. She hugged the girl back and waved at Kiara. "Masen, Annie hey. I should get going. You know, tomorrow my favorite person comes. Bye! " Kiara exclaimed, taking her stuff and leaving. 

"Ivarsen is coming tomorrow? Oh god she will never leave that boy alone won't she? " Dane joked, making everyone laugh. They went to the garden and kids sat around each other, while adults were talking. "I can't with them. I hate her guts, " Masen explained how he hates a girl from his class and that she was annoying and everything. "Alright. Maybe you just don't have a heart, " Annie commented, looking at her brother. He rolled his eyes, looking at Lewis's. "I don't have a problem like that, thank god. But this person right here has love problems, " Briar joked, earning a hit from his sister. "Oooh, who is it? Fane? " Annie asked, making Masen snort. "They have been best friends since they were three. I don't think feel something for each other, " Masen commented, looking at the adults trying to read from their lips.

"You know you won't understand what are they saying, right? They knew we will want to know what are they saying and decided to move far away from us, " Nicole told them, looking at her parents. They are laughing about something, but what exactly? "Not fair. I want all drama. Like that Gunnar and Kiara got caught by Uncle Damon, " Masen exclaimed, making Annie snort. "It's not fair. They just did their tradition. Like Ivarsen and Madden do with Devil's Night. Why can't- " "Damon was already in jail once because of it. He can't control Ivar, but he can try to control others to not go to jail like him. I think he doesn't want his kids to have the same faith as he did, " Nicole explained, getting up to go and take the water from the kitchen. Her phone was also ringing so she had more excuses to go inside. 

"Hey, Fane. What do you want? " Nicole asked, taking her bottle. "Guess who is here! That's right, my brother! I had to call you so you know that. But since we are talking about what is happening in Lewis's household? " he asked, sounding excited. "Nothing much. Lare's are here. I am inside right now. What about your household? " she answered, putting him on the speaker. "Well since you asked. Ivarsen let his beard grow out. Mom joked that he will look more and more like dad. He also got some tattoos, but I couldn't see where are they. He changed a lot. I think our dear friend will have a heart attack tomorrow, " he joked, making Nicole laugh. He loves her laugh, even tho she didn't love it. 

"I can't wait to see him and Madden. They both changed a lot in these couple of months. College changes people as mom said. Say hi to him. I'll see you in the morning, " she hang up and went back outside. "Was that Fane? Is Ivarsen home? " Annie questioned, looking at the girl. Nicole nodded, making a little girl squeal and run to her mother. "How are they? " Misha questioned, as the kids came closer to the table. "They are good, Mr. Torrance is 'yelling' at Ivarsen, but they are all fine, " Nicole hugged her mother and put her head on her mother's shoulders. "Mom's girl. She and Masen are the same, " Ryen commented, hugging her son. "She is. After all, she is a copy of me. Look at her. Even her nose scrunch. I am happy that I was blessed with her-" "What about me!? " Briar asked, sitting next to his dad. "Oh with you too. Maybe, " Georgia joked, making all of them laugh. "I can't wait to see them being like Horseman and this man right here. Just don't go in jail, " Ryen joked, making Misha gasp. The kids laughed, leaving the adults alone and going inside.
