"Yo, princess get the hell up!" My older cousin Rah said shaking my bed. "Yo ugly ass better hurry the hell up, school starts in 30 minutes!" he said shaking my legs to wake me up. We would go threw this process almost every Monday morning.

"Your lying." I said dragging myself out f bed to look at the clock. "Lier!" I said throwing my pillow at his ass while he left my messy room. It was only four in the morning. Rah, would occasionally pull silly, childish pranks on me like so. Now that I'm awake I wouldn't be able to go back to sleep.

My cousin could get on my last nerve for real, but I had to deal with him because his the only one who cared about me enough in my family to take care of me at such a young age. We've always been close as kids. When I was 7 and he was 14 he'd always sneak me candies and little stuffed animals. He was such a "ladies man" so when he got to meet the parents he would rob them that night, pawn whatever he had just so he and I could always have clothes on our back and supplies for school.

The down side was that I always smell weed on his breath and he's an angry drinker when you pushed him to far. He's 25 years of age and for a living he sells drugs. "Ass hole." I whispered under my breath getting out of bed.

I walked to the bathroom knowing now I have three hours to get ready for school. "I'll be in the house gym!" I said deciding to get a workout in before school. Rah wasn't an unsuccessful drug dealer. He didn't tell me anything about his work, and I didn't care to know. I was glad on Rah and I's come up, we went from small apartments to big houses near the beach like those white people.

By the time I finished working out and showering it was around 6:30.

Maybe I'll just go to school early, I thought. I got dressed, wearing a Chanel sweats combo.  I walked to the bathroom and loosely curled my hair. I put on some mascara and tinted lip balm and grab my sunglasses and was ready to leave. It was warm out, with a slight breeze, I had the perfect outfit for this California weather.

Even though my cousin can be a dick at times he always looks out for me, like whne he gave me his Ferrari for my 17th birthday last year. He always makes sure I'm always in style and keeping up with the trends. "If you got money, show it." He would always say. I blasted my music and starting mouthing the words dancing in my seat as I drove off to school. I stopped at a stoplight noticed two boys in the car over looking and laughing at me.

I immediately stopped dancing looking quite embarrassed waiting for the light to turn green. My knee started to bounce in anticipation as I ignored the glances coming my way. As I sped off i murmured the word "Shit."

I pulled up to my school and parked in the student lot. I looked around in my backseat and noticed I forgot my book bag at home, luckily I didn't have any homework but I would need to borrow pencils and paper throughout the day.

"No one informed me that we had a dress like that to school." The same guy from the light yelled at me smiling. "You look good ma." I was confused, at first I didn't think he was talking to me because all I was wearing were sweats and a matching jacket. Then I noticed the name brand on my chest, I smiled at him blushing real hard and quickly rushing to my locker.

I took everything I needed for my first two classes including my headphones. I tended to be way ahead of the class so when I am I like to listen to my music. I took AP classes but wasn't the top of my class I usually got along well, except for in science.

In third period I had science I usually sit in the back because I hate this class. "Good morning class. Please take out your textbooks and turn to page 438 and please welcome our new student Angel." Our teacher said pointing to a kid in the front of the class.

"Please," Angel began "you can call me daddy." He smiled. He had a bright smile that showed all of his teeth and a skin tone that reminded me of vanilla coffee. I didn't really see the rest of him because I toned him out after his last remark. It was smart to stay away from boys like him because they were only good for three things. Getting you pregnant, giving you an STD or breaking your heart.
