Shyam looked at Gauri carefully trying to remember where he had seen her but his memory failed him..

"Now is not the time to think about that" Shyam reminded himself

"Khush I'll go inform Kevin and come back" Shyam said to Khushi but Khushi was too shocked to react...

She stood in front of the Operation theatre and kept staring at the red bulb...

Around 15 minutes later the doctor emerged from the O.T

Miss Richards your sister in law needs to get operated now or we will lose the baby..

before Khushi could react shyam agreed to the doctor...

the doctor went in again assuring them they'll try their best...

Khushi who had not prayed for 7yrs now got down on her knees once again...

"if anything happens to Rachel or the baby...l will stop believing in you" Khushi sobbed in front of her God

By the time Shyam realised Khushi was gone from his side, Khushi had become a crying mess. Her body had begun to tremble with every breath she took and memories of her losing her child came flooding back to her...

Shyam went and held her to calm her down but Khushi kept on trembling. No words could help her...

So Shyam sat down beside a trembling Khushi and held her whilst silently praying for the girl he had begun to call his new sister..

2hrs of batted breaths later the Operation theatre open and Gauri emerged from inside the room with a tiny form in her hands..

"Miss Richards Gauri called out"

Khushi who was sitting on the floor sprang to her feet and rushed towards Gauri

"How's Rachel? How's the baby?" Khushi spoke in one breath

"Miss Rachel calm down...the baby is fine and so is Mrs.Richards" Gauri replied

It was then when Khushi noticed the tiny form in Gauri's arms..

"Is that....?" Khushi fumbled

"Congratulations Miss Richards you have become an aunt to a beautiful baby girl" Khushi said excitedly as she handed over the baby to Khushi...

Khushi held the baby in her arms and just stared at her and kept sending silent prayers in her heart..

"Can I see my Sister in law?" Khushi asked

"Yes but after we shift her to the ward" Gauri gave a reassuring smile

Just as Gauri was about to leave she heard someone call her name

"Miss Sharma can we have a word" Gauri turned around to hear Shyam calling her .

"Sure meet me in my cabin" Gauri said as she walked away..

Khushi raised her eyebrows as if to question what was happening but Shyam assured her that everything was fine..

*In Gauri's Cabin*

"Gauri" Shyam called out...

"Mr.Jha" Gauri replied...

"That means I was right...You are who i think you are" Shyam said

"Yes indeed....Shocked?" Gauri asked

"Of course...I didn't expect to see you here like this" Shyam said shock written in his voice...

"To be honest even I didn't expect to meet you so soon but here we are" Gauri smiled...

"So how have you been? How's Anjali" Gauri asked

"We are not together anymore" Shyam replied

"What is that supposed to mean?" Gauri asked

"We got divorced a few years ago" Shyam replied calmly

"Do you want to talk about it"Gauri asked

"Actually no." Shyam replied

"How about you ?.What is your relationship status" Shyam joked

"same old story..Still in love with you" Gauri replied smiling

"Gauri don't do this to yourself"Shyam said concerned..

"Yam Yam  me liking you is my Problem You don't get to have a say in this" Gauri replied...

Shyam was hearing is nickname given by Gauri after years

"Gauri?" Shyam called out

"What"
"don't do this to yourself"
"Shyam if I like you it's my problem trust me I will never force you to like me"

"I hope you get over me somebody" Shyam said as he turned to leave

"it's been 16yrs Shyam I don't think that's happening" Gauri smiled to herself...

*Back to Khushi*
Khushi held the baby in her hand as she was made of glass and she would break any moment...

"I am gonna protect you from everything in the world" Khushi promised the baby as she held her tiny hands

"I am sure you will" Kevin said as he approached his sister and daughter..

"Kevin who had been on a business trip to Mumbai had just landed and come running to see his wife only to find his sister with his daughter in her arms....

Khushi turned around and looked at her brother and extend the baby to him..

Kevin held his daughter in arms and couldn't help but shed a drop of tear...

"How's Rachel?" Kevin asked still holding his daughter in his arms

"In the ICU but she is fine now" Khushi replied

"It's been one hell of a ride today" Khushi joked

No sooner had the words escaped khushi's lips than a nurse ran shouting code blue at the top of her lungs..

All Khushi saw was a frenzy of doctors running to the ICU where Rachel was...
