Homesick

I stare out of the window, while my mum is driving. My mind starts to wander to what my future could be like. Could I be a photographer for magazines? Could I make my own fashion company? Could I become a model?

(Flash forward)

Me becoming a model is the most unrealistic thing. Like I'm barely 5 ft. I got carried away god Y/n stop being a hopeless dreamer!

Now that I'm 28 I realise everyday that I'm glad that I made the choices I did now because I would probably still be a dumb teenager figuring shit out.

Anyway back to my weird teenage day dreaming.

(Flash back)

"Y/n...Y/n!...Y/N!" My mum shouts

"WHAT!" I shout back

"Watch your tone with me" She replies back

"Sorry" I say quietly

"Are you excited!?" She says while looking back at me

"Yeah, I am" I say half-hearted

"What's Wrong?" She says as she turns her eyes back to the road

"I just...I'm...Really going to miss you!, I have to be independent now and what if I screw up...or not pass my course and come home being a failure and not get a job because I don't have a qualification and be that one teen in her class that still lives on her mum's sofa until her ovaries dry up."

She takes a deep breath before talking

"Y/N, you are amazing and I believe in you. You have always been independent since the day you could talk, you are strong and beautiful and smart I know that you are going to shine wherever you go." She says as she smiles at me

We continue driving until we get to my student accommodation

"We here!" My mum says while unbuckling her seatbelt

I turn around and see Kara's car pull up behind ours. My nervous feeling turns into excitement.

I get out the car and hug kara, we leave my mum by the cars while we go and get our room keys.

We just about get to the reception desk before I see...

"TYLER!" Kara and I say at the same time

"You have got to be kidding me!" I say

He turns towards me and Kara

"Hi you guys, before you say anything. I'm sorry for what happened with Maddie and everything. I feel like I didn't get to explain myself that night" He says guiltily

"WELL YOU DON'T NEED TO" I say angrily

"Actually I do, I need to explain a lot to you. It changes the context of everything that happened that night" he says reassuring me

A guy approaches Tyler and kisses him on the lips

"Oh you must be Y/n, I've heard about you" the guy says

Kara and I stand there shocked

HOLY SHIT TYLER IS GAY!?

"I told you, I have a lot to explain..."
