The moon was located high in the sky as the brown-haired boy with two different colored eyes set down his pen, packing his school work into his satchel which was sat on his desk beside him, his grandmother should be sound asleep by now, the window he had left open slightly was spilling in the chilly wind from the outside world.

The boy sighed and stood, closing the window knowing he'd freeze to death if he kept it open while he slept. The boy picked up his small candle which was attached to an old holder, it swerved like a snake up and around, the candle in the snake's mouth, his mother had made it before she had died. The teen sat the candle down on his bedside table and went to change, he removed his clothes, the jeans which had been burning his leg all day, the ruff fabric would rub and 'bite' into past burns or new, open cuts.

After removing his jeans he removed his t-shirt, the black fabric hiding any blood stains, his bandaged chest and shoulders which covered his wounds now on display. The boy slipped on a large, black hoodie which went down to the middle of his thighs, the only thing on the black hoodie was a white smiley face in the center of it. The brunette sighed again and walked slowly over to his bed, climbing under the soft, fluffy blanket. He blew out the candle and passed out the moment his head hit the pillow.
