"Please tell me, where did she go !?" Arjun asked his brothers. But none of them gave him an answer.
"Jyesht ! Please tell me !" Arjun joined his hands in front of Yudhishthir.
But instead of giving an answer, Yudhishthir stayed quiet. Because if he talks he will only tell the truth, and Arjun shouldn't come to know of the truth for his own safety.
Even Sehdev was silent since he came to know what was about to happen. His heart shivered at the premonition.
Arjun then looked at Panchali who was standing with a lowered gaze. He went towards her thinking at least she will tell him.
"Panchali, at least you tell me where is Rukmika ? My heart is getting scared for some reason. Panchali I beg you to tell me where is she ?" Arjun joined his hands. She gasped holding them.
"Arya, please don't put me in this dilemma." Draupadi said.
"A-Alright. Don't tell me where has she gone. Just tell me when will she return ? Has she told you that ?" Arjun asked.
"R-Rukmika said that she will return before the moonrise." Draupadi said.
"M-Moonrise ?" Arjun frowned worriedly.
"Yes Arya. She has promised she will be back. Just wait till the moon rises." Draupadi said, holding back tears.
"But Panchali.... The moon will not rise today..... It's Amavasya." Arjun said as a tear rolled down his eyes.
Realising that Draupadi looked at Arjun with wide eyes.
"What ?" She muttered putting a hand over her mouth.
"Panchali ? Panchali ! Tell me where is she ?" Arjun asked panicking.
"Forgive me Rukmika I had sworn not to tell him, but now I cannot hold it further...." Draupadi sobbed joining her hands.
"What happened Draupadi !? Tell me !" Arjun asked holding her shoulders.
"A-Arya, Nagasur Vishkaal and Vidarbh-naresh Rukmi planned to use Vishastra to end you.... Rukmika has gone to confront them." Draupadi said.
Listening to that, Arjun's eyes widened, he let's go off Draupadi and without wasting another moment runs out of the room.
On the other side, Vishkaal angrily grabbed his Vishastra and looked at Rukmika.
"I had thought that I would make you mine by giving you jewels and all the luxuries in the world. I thought we would spend a happy life together. I waited for more than a year to get you. I thought maybe I was lacking something that I couldn't attract you, I thought Rukmi was lacking something that he couldn't convince you. But no ! The real problem was you only." Vishkaal said.
Rukmika raised her eyebrow at him as Rukmi frowned. Vishkaal took a step towards her and grabbed her by her hair.
"Aah !" Rukmika winced.
"Vishkaal !" Rukmi exclaimed but the Nagasur gestured him to stay quiet.
"It was you all along. You are so much in love with that Kuruvanshi that you resented my effort. And the fire of love that I have seen in your eyes today, has made me realise that even by force you cannot be mine. And if you cannot be mine then I won't let you be of anyone else." Vishkaal told.
Saying that he stabbed Rukmika's abdomen with his Vishastra as Rukmi's eyes widened. She shuddered as she felt all her body going numb. Vishkaal lets go of Rukmika and she falls at her knees.
"RUKMIKA !" Arjun exclaimed.
