Kayse Ronan POV
I growled viciously, shocking everyone as they rushed to be first out of the room. They knew it was now a battle field. I hadn't seen Kota cry since she was 8, when her mother died and the beatings began.
{Flash Back Beginning} I heard the most heart-wrenching sound. Someone was crying, and thanks to my wolf nose I knew who it was. Dakota. My bestie above the restie, I was almost 9 but still a child. I frowned, following her unique strawberry vanilla scent as it became tainted with the smell of copper and... death. I howled as best as an 8, almost 9 year old child could. My whole body shook, thinking Dakota was dead, her scent mingling with the blood and another familiar scent I couldn't place. My vision flickered in and out when I spotted Dakota bawling on her mothers prone form. Blood pooled around the two of them from the deep cut across Luna Heart's throat and I tripped, falling next to them in a panic.
"Kota! Kota!! Are you ok? What happened? Where's your dad? Is Luna Heart ok?" the questions poured out of my mouth, unable to stop them. "She...Dead. They, they killed her. I don't understand." she mumbled softly before almost roaring, "She was their Luna! They were supposed to protect her not hurt her!" blood coated her whole body. "K-Kota?" I sniffed the air and thought I smelled someone familiar but dismissed it soon after. Dakota's scent was too strong along with the stench of coppery blood and death. Shaking my head vigorously from the dizzying scents I howled again. My message was clear. Luna Heart passed. I heard multiple sorrowful howls and some angry snarls. The first to arrive was Beta Gonzalez, Josh's dad Victor. He jogged around the clearings perimeter, "No rogue scent, just yours and Dakota's. Was Luna Heart Dead when you two got here?" I shook my head, "I heard crying and I smelled Dakota then found her with the Luna. She was here first, I had been looking for Kota because I hadn't seen her all morning." "Right," the Beta nodded stiffening and following what I thought was a trail with bloop drips. My dad ran into the clearing as the Beta disappeared around a bend. "Dad! Dad, she's dead. The Luna's dead..." "I know son, I heard Alpha Heart collapsed after he felt the bond snap." Victor, the Beta stromed back into the death filled clearing with a silvery gold dagger. "Gamma Ronan, I need you to take Dakota Heart to the prison. Her scent is the only one in this area and its all over this MoonBane knife." he snarled grabbing Dakota by the throat, "Why in the Goddess's name would you kill the Luna!? Kill your mother!" Beta Gonzalez threw her into an oak tree and I heard a snap and saw Dakota's arm hanging at an impossible angle. I screamed, passing out soon after. {Flash Back End}
I padded toward Tony slowly, my intentions clear. Since Dakota lost her wolf, I promised myself I'd protect her. Suddenly I launched at him, knowing he was entranced with my beloved's beauty. My claws tore into his thighs severing his femoral artery. A spray of blood drenched my muzzle and chest as I dig my muzzle and teeth into his stomach, ripping all of his entrails out with a savage glee. My sharp canines locked onto his spine, disconnecting it from this skull and pelvic bone as I rip it out. My honey-russet wolf shook with adrenaline and dripped blood as gooey bits of kidney and appendix held fast to my fangs and the spine I held in my mouth like a stick. A scream echoed in my ears, the end barely reaching my muddled brain.
Dakota Heart POV
Holy Moon Goddess. Kayse killed Tony...He killed Tony Addison for me. "K-Kayse.. You you killed him. You... There's blood. It's everywhere. IS THAT HIS SPINE!?" So naturally, I did what anyone would do after seeing the carnage I did. I fainted. Damn he has nice muscles though. He shifted, bare skin touching me as I fell and he caught me.

Dakota Heart POV
Darkness enclosed my thoughts before my eyes flicked open, the potent scent of disenfectant revolting. I screamed, memories slamming into my vision. The constant flashes of red and occational bone chip slicing through my skin. "No. No! Stop it! Kayse stop!" The shrieks involuenrarily tore from my throat.
