Elementary for you - A ''Elemetary'' Fan Fiction.
Part One
Cole payed and thanked the taxi driver before he got off the car with his luggage. Every time he moved in with a new patient he never brought his car with him, in case there wasn't a garage for him to keep it in there.
The house in front of him screamed luxury, in an odd kind of way. The building's structure was exact the same as the rest of the houses in the block, but this one looked taken from a magazine of some sort. The two-story house was painted in white and the six windows were gray. Each gray window had its own mini balcony with flowers of all colours hanging on one side. It didn't have a garden. Mind you, it was in the middle of Manhattan, New York, so that was next to impossible.
The door stood on the left, with just a little stone stair between it and the street. There was also a bunch of flowers in each step.
Frowning, Cole took his phone out of his pocket and checked if it was the right address. This looked more like a granny's house than one of an ex drug addict.
Maybe the patient's father had texted it wrong? A six instead of a nine? A spelling mistake?
After his fifth attempt at trying to find something wrong with the directions, he came up empty handed. This had to be his new patient's house.
With no other choice, he adjusted his bag on his shoulder and knocked the door. He waited a few seconds before knocking again, not wanting to be rude or impatient.
Five minutes later, and no one answered the door.
Cole huffed and pushed himself on the door, leaning his head on it. Slowly, the door gave in and opened, leaving Cole wondering how irresponsible a person could be to leave the door unlocked. Anyone could come in.
Slightly worried, he entered. What if this wasn't the right house and an old lady appeared out of nowere and attacked him with her army of cats?
Just in case, he shouted:
'Hello? Anyone home?'
After that, a topless guy descended the stairs while putting a white T-shirt on.
'Hey' he greeted Cole casually.
This wasn't his patient. Maybe he was the old lady's grandson...?
'She's upstairs. Have fun. She made me have a great time, if you know what I mean' the guy said with a suggestive smirk.
Yup, definitely my patient's house. I don't even want to consider if the one upstairs is the old lady, Cole thought.
At seeing my expression, the guy burst out laughing.
'Just joking, man. She's my girl so, hands off' he threatened him, all laughter gone.
'Your girl, Adam? Seriously? Now we're all inanimated objects that can be owned?' said a female voice with a thick British accent from the stairs.
The woman had black staright hair and pale skin. Her mouth had full red lips, but it didn't look like make up. Her eyes were a deep almond color, so captivating. She was wearing a pair of shorts and a black V-neck. She really was strikingly beautiful. She had all the curves in the right places, but Cole didn't think much about that.
She was his patient.
Emmaline Stone.
' C'mon, I'm trying to act all possessive and jealous, don't ruin it babe' Adam said to her.
She had a boyfriend? How come no one told him anything about it?
Emmaline just chuckled and shaked her head.
'You have to leave, remember?' she sarcastically asked him with that British accent that was enough to make a man go crazy.
Adam groaned out loud. Emmaline started pushing his chest to the door that remained open, forcing him out of the house.
'Same time, next week?' the guy eagerly asked.
'In your dreams' she said and slamed the door on his face.
It wasn't see-through so Cole couldn't see if he had left or what.
She turn around to face him and said,
'You won't be seeing him again'
Cole just nodded, not knowing what else to say.
Silence took over. He started to feel uncomfortable under her scrutinizing gaze. It felt like she was weighing him up, analysing him.
'You know who I am, I know who you are. Let's get this over so that you can get settled.' she said with a small smile.
He nodded again and left his luggage by the door before he followed her trough the house.
She walked fast. Very fast. And spoke pretty fast too.
'First bathroom, Living room, kitchen, office, laundry room' she said as she sped by the hall.
When they came back to the bottom of the stairs she looked at him,
'Upstairs there's two bedrooms and another bathroom. I put clean towels in there every morning and take the dirty clothes to wash. The whole kitchen is stuffed with food, so if you want something, just take it. I'll give you the wi-fi password as well as your key during dinner. It'll be ready in about an hour or so' she explained.
Not wanting to look like a mute by nodding Cole replied,
'Thanks, Emmaline'
She smiled softly, her pearly white teeth shining.
Cole took all of his bags and started to walk upstairs when she said his name.
'Yes?' he looked at her expectantly.
'Cole, I don't mind doing your laundry, as long as I don't touch your underwear' she said with a pointed look.
He just laughed.
'Emmaline, don't worry about that' he said with a smile.
She looked at him with a strange expression and said,
'Call me Emma'
