Being the oldest sibling means being a role model for the younger ones. They have to be perfect so they can follow in your footsteps and lead successful lives in the future. Constantly being used as a standard for the younger siblings is stressful. Especially when they're being compared to people better than them as well. They don't want to put the burden of having to be the best onto my siblings. But they have no choice due to their parents having enforced this rule since birth.
Being the oldest sibling means having to sacrifice everything. When they want to use something but the other siblings also wants to use the said item, there would always be a reprimand of "You're the oldest, let your sibling use it". The oldest sibling has no choice but to give in as the sibling gives a look of glee that infuriates them, but they're unable to do anything but sulk.
Being the oldest sibling means taking all the responsibility. If any of the others get into trouble, the oldest sibling would also get punished. "Why didn't you look after them", "Why didn't you teach them that it's wrong" or when it's a mistake the oldest made before, "Look, they learnt this from you. Be a better example!" They have to take all the burden and responsibility for everything and protesting isn't an option.
Being the oldest sibling means having nobody to open up to. Having to bottle up every emotion they feel until they burst, followed by a strict lecture about 'Talking back' or 'setting a bad example for your siblings' before retreating into their room and blaming themselves for everything they've done wrong. But when a sibling asks what's wrong with a curious and innocent glint in their eyes, the oldest have no choice but to deny everything that's wrong and assure that they're fine.
Being the oldest sibling isn't just getting everything new and a life of glory bossing the younger siblings about. It's shielding them from the real world and showing them a bit of cruelty to make them have a small taste of the viciousness of the world at the risk of them hating the oldest sibling. It's showing them the tough love that the parents raised them with but with more affection. It's trying to be a better parent that the ones they got.
