Under The Moonlight

CHAPTER FOUR

Lauren was leaning her back against the wall, silently waiting for Camila to arrive. She smile when she saw Camila walking. She waved at her, confusion was seen on her face when Camila walked pass her without looking at her. She frowned, question were filled in her mind.

"Maybe she's just in a bad mood" Lauren thought to herself. She just shrugged the thought out and head her way to her first class.

Camila's Point of View

"Oy yé, chancho! What's with the face ?" Dinah asked as she sat beside me.

"Nothing, Dinah." I answered lazily, "I just had a rough morning, that's all"

"Did you fought with Lauren? Cause if you did, i'mma beat Lauren's ess for making you upset"  Dinah punch her fist on her other hand.

"Dinah, I'm fine" I rolled my eyes

"Anyone who mess with you, mess with me!" Dinah said with pride. I just softly laugh at her.

"Aww, what am I without you china?" I smiled

"You'd be nothing chancho, you'd be nothing" Dinah said jokingly.

I glance at Lauren, I feel bad for not paying her any attention but my dream bother me so much. It felt so real that I don't know how to face her. She looked at me and smile but I only shook my face. Hurt was clearly seen in her face, I hope she understand me.

Time passed and the first class was over, I hurriedly pack my things and quickly left the room heading for my second class. I heard her calling me but I chose to ignore her.

I rushed in bumping onto Veronica, she was Lauren's friend I remembered.

"Oppps! Watch there Camilinha, what's with the rush?" she said while laughing.

"I-i'm sorry" I apologized,

"It's fine, have you seen Lauren around ?" She asked. "I need to talk to her"

"N-no, I haven't" I lied

"Oh, okay. So how are you ?" she smiled

"I'm late" I said timidly

"What ?"

"I'm late, I need to go to class" I said

"God! Where is my brain, I'm sorry. Have a nice day Camilinha" she gave way

"Same to you" I quickly entered the room and looked for an empty sit. I layed my things and started to take notes.

"Camila, can I treat you for lunch ? My treat" Shawn invited shyly. My stomach grumble and he chuckled, I smiled at him and nodded. He carried my things as we head off the cafeteria. A pair of green eyes stared at us while Shawn and I walk. She lowered her head and walk a different path.

"Shawn" I called, taking my things on his hand "Maybe nexttime, I promised Dinah that I'll eat lunch with her. I'm sorry" I lied, he just smiled and nodded

"I guess, well see you next time Camila" He waved and ran back to his friends. I smiled. Shawn and I were in good terms, we decided to end our relationship in a mutual decision.

I saw Normani, Ally and Dinah sit in one of the free tables. I walked towards and join them. They look at me with we-saw-you-with-shawn in their eyes. I laugh as I sat with them.

"He was just inviting me for a friendly lunch" I rolled my eyes.

"It better be just a friendly lunch, cause I wanna see my ship sailing! CAMREN Express!" Dinah's proud while the two laugh at her.

"You're being delusional again, Dinah. I have a crush on her but it won't define anything" I denied.

"Oh! It will someday mila" Normani grinned

"You guys, stop teasing our Camila. She's still in denial" Ally smirked

"Not you too, Ally" I pouted. Ally just laugh.

"I didn't know dogs are free to run wild in the city" Lucy said with a sly smirk.

"I am a wolf, you spawn of satan!" Keana growl. "I didn't also know that a bloodsucker like you can handle a school"

"Are you surprised ? Oh, you must be" Lucy smirked. "Afterall, all dogs just know how to wag their tails"

"Watch your mouth you piece of trash!" Keana said with rage.

"Ohh, down girl. Stop barking" Lucy grinned.

Keana was in fury, she would love to decapitate Lucy and watch her wither into thin air.

"Don't underestimate mi Lucy, I'm no Alpha for nothing." Keana hissed.

"Keana stop it" Lauren calmly said

"Won't you call her bloodsucker too ? I am offended" Lucy pretends

"She's unlike you!" Keana barked.

"Later girls, I still have something to do and Lauren ? Please send my regards for my dear Camila" Lucy grinned and vanished.

Worried. One word to describe what she felt the moment Lucy mentioned Camila's name. Her fears are almost near, Lucy will do anything to get Camila if she found out who Camila is.

She closed her eyes and took a sigh, should she bite Camila ? Lucy will eventually find out the truth sooner or later.

"being a pure blooded vampire sucks" Camila sigh. "Vampires and other creatures will fear you"

Lauren chuckled "Just don't think about it Camz, your different from them" Lauren smiled.

"How am I different from them ? Look what I made you? You lost your normal life because of me" Camila was in guilt "You fear me before! Remember when you're in your first year of being a vampire, you were hiding away from me"

Lauren laugh at how Camila looked cute ranting about her life. "I wasn't scared of you Camz, I was mad. I was mad because I thought I lost my human life. I was mad because I can't be normal again" Lauren smiled at Camila and interwined their hands."But I don't regret anything, because I had you. I am still human in my mind, I am still the same Lauren you met when you were eighteen years old. I still feel normal because you make me feel normal"

Camila was in awe because of Lauren's words. In return she locked their lips together and smiled between kisses.

Lauren shrugged the memory out. She lowered her head and stare at her hand, she longed for Camila's touch but all she can do for now is keep Camila safe.

Camila's Point of View

I came home tired, but restless. I'm still bothered about the dream I had. Ofcourse it's nonsense, Vampires don't exist. Even aliens. It's all in my head, it's all in my head.

"Camila! Dinner's ready, come down!" Yep! I'm normal.

"coming!"

I slowly got up from bed and head my way down. I stared at my parents and silently giggled as I witness how intimate my parents towards each other.

"Come here mija, what are you doing there?"

"It's fun seeing you two like that" I said as I sat down.

"Your mami here, cooks the best meal mija." he said while holding my mother's hand. My mother giggled as she hid her face down surpressing her blush. Cute!

"Both of you stop it, let's eat while it's hot"

We ate dinner while sharing our day, It feels good. I thank God for giving me a family like this.

Hours have passed and I decided to go to bed. I bid my goodnight to them and quickly ran upstairs.

The night was chilly as I wrap myself on my duvet, I fished out my phone and played random songs to set my mood for a good night of sleep.
