Jon's Pov🏳‍⚧

I ran into the living room, high on pretty much every candy in the world. I landed on the couch, giggling wildly.

Eduardo came in, followed by Mark, who were both carrying bags of groceries. I could tell both of them were tired, but I was just getting started.

"Markie! Can I have my candy?!"

Mark gave me a small smile and tossed me my bag of candy. "Save your appetite for dinner, Jon."

I nodded and ran up to my room. I was so focused on opening my bag that I didn't see Eduardo standing near my doorway and ended up running into him.

"OW! WATCH IT, LOSER!" Screaming at me. Like always.

I looked up at him to apologize, but my words were caught in my throat.

I felt my face turn red. Why was my stomach doing backflips?

And he noticed. Yay.

"Are you sick? What's up with your face, weirdo?"

I quickly stood up and pushed past him, slamming and locking my door shut.

I heard Eduardo grumble something not pleasant, then head downstairs. I felt stupid. And something else. I had no clue what.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

When I got called down for dinner, I took my normal place across from Eduardo and next to Mark. I usually clung to Mark like a little kid since he was pretty much the only one who didn't call me a loser every time I did something wrong.

We sat in silence until Mark finally broke it.

"I'm going to be on vacation with Matt for a few days."

I blinked. Eduardo dropped his fork. This wasn't going to go well.

"Your leaving?! How long, and where?!"

Mark picked at a loose string in his sweater, refusing to meet Eduardo's eyes.

"For about 2 weeks...We're going to Paris.."

I gave Mark a soft smile, letting him know I was fine by that. Eduardo still wasn't.

"And who exactly is going to make dinner? Do the shopping? Clean the house?"

"You're a grown man. You can do it yourself. Now, I have to get packing. Our flight leaves tomorrow afternoon."

Mark stood up, placing his plate in the sink, gave me a quick head pat, and went upstairs.

Eduardo wasn't saying anything, but you could tell by the way his face turned red that he wasn't happy. At all.

I got up from my seat and hugged him. At home, Mark and Duardy weren't as close. It was usually when they both went out to the bar they would get along. Plus, Duardy hated shopping. He hated interacting with other people unless it was with the neighbours. I felt bad for him.

Surprisingly, he placed an arm around me. "You ain't going to walk out on me to, will you?.."

I shook my head, surprised by the accusation. "No! I would never! Come on, Ed. He's gonna come back! He just...wants time with his boyfriend...like you wanted time with Laurel.."

I made a big mistake.

Eduardo yanked his hand away and got up. "Yeah, and Laurel left me! Those two are like glue! And never bring up Laurel to me again, loser!"

I watched him as he stomped off into the living room. I swore I heard him give a sniffle. A sad one.

There was that feeling again. That feeling to just hug him and never let go. But I'm pretty sure if I did that, he'd kick me to China.

I gave one last look at Duardy before running upstairs to help Mark pack.
