"Ahh...." bani whined while trying to open her eyes. Veer rushed to her side when he heard her slight whimper and instantly shaded his hands above her eyes allowing her to adjust with the daylight.
"bani ... sweetheart.... hey...open your eyes....slowly.." veer encouraged Bani who was slowly getting back into her senses.
"veer ..." Bani slowly called him as she tried opening her eyes bit by bit . veer felt his heart calming down upon hearing his name from bani's mouth almost hours after.
"oops...my eyes..why is this not opening...." bani whispered in a low voice blinking her eyes , being irritated which made veer chuckle after a whole long day. will his wife be a little like others all around ?.
"sweetheart .... its okay....araam se ...." Veer arranged pillows behind her, helping Bani to be in a semi lying position. Bani slowly opened her eyes but still not fully. she took her hands to face from veers grip as she badly wanted to rub her eyes and to let them adjust to the sudden changes. but pouted being irritated when she took in the band aids wrapped around her palms. veer laughed slowly seeing her plight.
"gharwali ....wait let me help you." veer said and ran to the washroom and returned with a bowl of water and a cloth piece. he sat near bani and wiped her eyes with the cloth dipping it in water . The cold water helped her in getting rid of the droopy feeling and she flashed a grateful grin to veer to which veer smiled . he got up and opened the door and quickly sent a message to Tapish informing bani being back to her senses and walked back to Bani's side.
Bani felt a little pain arising around her stomach due to the wound but let it go when she felt veer's gentle grip on her palms. Veer took her hand and checked it and then took the first aid box from the cupboard nearby , changed the previous dressing and started cleaning the wounds. "sweetheart , let me change the dressing otherwise it may get infected ..okay..?"
Bani nodded and stared at her husband lovingly , not bothering to avert her gaze from veer who was so much into tending his sweetheart. As soon as the antiseptic lotion came in contact with her splittened palms Bani snapped out of her thoughts and whined due to a burning sensation.
"Sweetheart .... I am sorry ... Did it cause so much pain ?" Veer immediately got into action and blew air on to her hands trying to make her feel better while Bani got back to her gazing session all amused will she ever be able to pour her love on him like he does every single day ? She smiled.
Veer looked Bani and saw her lost gazing him and an automatic smile made its way to his face. "Waise... Don't dare to think of being back to your feet soon okay....you are not gonna stand until each and every single scratch on your body is healed ." Bani frowned and looked straight into his eyes and veer instantly got lost in his all time favourite Browns.
For a second he was taken aback seeing a difference in the feelings he had read in her eyes till the very day , he was able to see a positive change in her enchanting eyes. Their eyes got locked, not intending to break the locked gazes, veer tried understanding where the change had occured.
