*BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP*

7:15 am, Y/n read the time with squinted eyes. "Ugh. Ten more minutes." Y/n groaned against her pillow, digging her face more into it.

The alarm kept on beeping annoyingly so she had no choice to get up and turn it off. She stood up from her bed and stared at her wall for a solid two minutes before she decided to get ready for the day.

She showered and dressed herself before going to the common room to meet her friends. As she arrives, she greets some students she knows and walks to the great hall with her friends for breakfast.

As they were eating, Y/n's friends were rambling about potions or something, but she wasn't listening one bit. Her attention was locked towards the bushy haired girl across from her.

How her hair bounced when she turns her head, how her eyes brightens when she reads something interesting in her book, how her cheeks would turn pink when someone compliments her, how cute she looked when she scrunches her nose, how hot she was when she was angry, how her lips twitched into a smile once she saw Y/n staring- wait, she saw Y/n staring!

Y/n's eyes widened as she swiftly averted her gaze even though she was already caught.

"Why don't you just ask her out?"

Y/n looked at her friend like they had three heads and scoffed. "Me? Asking Hermione Granger out? I can't even function properly when she looks at me! How could I even try and talk to he-"

"Hi L/n!" A sweet voice greets Y/n making her eyes snap towards the voice.

"H- heyy, Hermione!" Y/n stuttered as her voice surprisingly became two octaves higher, making her friends snicker.

Hermione smiled at the L/n girl before walking out of the hall.

"I'm down bad there's no one to help me out." Y/n muttered to herself, her eyes following the Gryffindor as the girl sweetly greets every person she passes by.

"You're so whipped it's not even funny." Y/n's friend commented as they laughed at their friend's hopeless state.

"Oh shut it!" Y/n glared at them letting herself drown in her thoughts as she silently finished her food.

-

"Very good, Miss Granger! Ten points to Gryffindor!" Professor McGonagall says with a smile, making the latter's cheeks turn a light shade of pink.

Merlin, how can someone be that smart? She looks so pretty with that blush on her face. Thoughts filled Y/n's mind as the Gryffindor smiled in triumph.

"Now, continuing on with our lesson..." McGonagall's voice fades to the back of Y/n's mind as she stares dreamily at Hermione.

What a majestic piece of art she is. Ugh she's just Chef's kiss! Wait no- not kiss! No kissing! No no no nope nah.. I can't even talk properly when she's-

"Miss L/n?!" The professor's voice snaps Y/n out of her thoughts, eyes widening as she looks around the class, seeing everyone staring at her.

"Are you done daydreaming miss L/n?" she raises her brow in a challenging manner making the latter gulp and nod hastily.

"Sorry Professor." Y/n muttered, getting a nod out of McGonagall before she resumed explaining her lesson.

Some students snickered to themselves as L/n sunk to her seat, head hanging low.

Heaven's sake, that was so embarrassing. I don't think I'll be able to look Granger in the eye for a while now.

"I expect you all to review your textbooks for our upcoming examination for Transfigurations. That's all for today, class is dismissed."
