Mari is a 16-year-old girl who has amazing grades, the only thing is that she studies too much. Her parents worry about her. Her friends worry about her. Sometimes, when she's not studying, she'll be on her phone. This story is about how this girl, Mari, ended up...dead.

While walking down the street, she thinks, ' Should I study tonight or just stay on my phone?'  She chose her phone meaning she'd stay up tonight. She heard footsteps behind me. No one. Maybe she's going crazy. She's not. She started running home but tripped. When she wasn't looking, someone put their number in before she can even see it. She got up and grabbed her phone. When she reached home, she was tired. She went up to her room. "Mom? Are you home?" No answer. "Huh. Guess I'm home alone." She went upstairs and got on her phone.

It has been 5 hours since she got home. Mom hasn't gotten home. She got a phone call. "Unknown Number?" She answered it. "Hello?" Nothing. No answer. She hung up. "Weird." Her mom came home, drunk. She ran downstairs and put her arm on her waist to support her. "You went out again, Mom?" She sighed. She's been taking care of them and she's only 16 years old. She ended up throwing up all over the floor. "Oh, Mom." She took her to her room and set her Mom down. This was going to be a long night for her.
