Chapter 11
Melina's pov
"No the purple ones are awesome!" Becca screamed in my ear and that won her a slap on the back of her head.
"Shut up! And the green ones are better!" I said back.
"No!"
"Yes!"
"No!"
"Yes!"
"Yes!"
"No!" Becca fell in the trap.
"Ha! You said yes!" I laughed at her confused face until she realized she was fooled.
"Oh come on! You always do this!" she whined.
"You'll live, now let's go or else we'll be late for class. And you know how Mr. Stone acts when someone is late." I told her as we walked fast to our class.
We got in right before the bell. Saved!
"All right class, you know this is our advanced class of English and we have one more student that is going to be in it." He opened the door and in came Henry Hales. "Mr. Hales, please find a seat."
Everyone in class shut up while Henry was searching for a seat to sit and he landed his stare on me... and the empty seat beside me. He plopped down on it and soon the class started.
"Hey! Andersen!" I soon heard from Henry's direction.
"What do you need Hales?" I whispered grinning from his idiotic behavior.
"Will you come with us tonight for a bonfire on the beach?" he asked.
"I don't know.." I didn't get to finish my sentence because he started looking at me with his hands in prayer position, his bottom lip stuck out and his eyes were wide open with plead.
I sighed, "Fine I'll come.. I can't say no to this cute face you put on.." I giggled silently.
We didn't need detention, that's for sure.
"Yes! We'll pick you up after your training?" I looked at him funny.. "How do you know..-"
"Ross told us you did some sort of training, and I'll admit I'm dying to see you train so do the rest guys... So we'll come to your gym!" he explained as the bell rang and sprinted out of class, leaving me no chance to answer.
"What a doof.." I shook my head and laughed. But I don't blame him that he left so fast. For the past four days since the cemetery incident, Ross's friends always invite me to stuff but I always say no. I don't want to be burden to their hanging out time and I'm also bothered why Ross hasn't come at least one time to ask me himself. He was more distant than ever to me.. and that really bothered me. I mean come on I know I like the guy and that I have no chance for him to like me back but he could be a little more friendly..
Wait...
Did I just said I like him!?
Great...
"Becca..." I started. She looked at me with wide open eyes. "Oh no, you have that 'I'm gonna spill a huge secret I just realized' look in your eyes.. spil it Melina."
I grabbed her hand and pulled her in an empty classroom, then whispered in her ear, "I like Ross.."
She opened and closed her mouth like a fish until she found her voice again to tell me , "Good! Now we have to make him fall for you!" she chirped.
"Shut up, there's no way he'll like me like that. He's really distant to me." I sighed.
"Look I don't know about that but we'll figure it out. Now let's go before Ms. Simons has a heart attack. You know she's obsessed with perfect attendance."
