“Wake up! Melina I swear if you don’t wake up in the next 5 minutes I’ll come and put you under the shower and drench you with ice cold water!” I heard Austin yell from downstairs.
“Ughh I hate mornings!” I rubbed my face stretching my body. I got up and took a quick shower and dressed up.
“Oooo you cooked pancakes!” I kissed my cousin’s cheek. “Yeah yeah, eat kiddo.” He smiled.
“Mmm these are really good Austin, you improved your cooking.” I said stuffing my face.
“I know but you are gonna help me with cooking while you’re here, just so you know.” I laughed and finished my breakfast.
I put on my jacket and got out ready to walk a bit. “Hey! Do you want me to take you to school?”
"No Austin, I want to walk but thank you.” I smiled. “Ok, call if you need me, I’ll get ready for work.”
“Ok!” I waved him while walking down the street.
I don’t know if you ever felt so relaxed while walking alone in an empty street but that’s exactly what I’m feeling right now. I emptied my mind from my troubled past, recent people in my life that passed away, recent people who fight, the stress from my training, everything. Just everything. And it felt so good.
I took a big breath and let it out before opening my eyes. And just my luck! I tripped over my own legs and fell on the asphalt. I got to put my hands in front of me so I would avoid a bleeding nose.
“Damn it!” I hissed as I saw my scratched palms while sitting on the street.
“Hey! Melina!” I heard someone from behind me. Before I could turn my head two arms helped me up. “Shit! Are you alright?” I looked and found Ross in front of me. It had to be him, hadn’t it?
“Yeah, I’m good.” I smiled trying not to think my wincing hands.
“Again, you’re a horrible liar. Let me see.” He took my hands in his making my heart speed up from the feeling of our hands together.
“Damn it Melina, how the hell did you fall?” he asked frowning. “Uhmm… I trippedonmylegs.” I mumbled embarrassed and looked down.
“You what?” he said. When I looked at him, he had an amused look on and a grin. Oh those dimples..
Melina ! Focus girl!
“I said that-
“I heard what you said. How did you manage such thing?” he asked chuckling a bit.
“Oh you know.. walking without looking and stuff..” I said looking at the sky. I swear if I look at him I’ll look like a tomato!
“Does the sky has something interesting on it?” he said next to my ear and I snapped my head from the sudden close distance causing our heads to bump together.
Good job clumsy!
Oh shut up!
“God! I’m so sorry Ross! Are you ok?” I asked feeling bad that he was holding his nose.
“I think I’ll live carina. Does it look bad?” he removed his hand.
“Oh my god! Your nose is bleeding! I’m really sorry Ros-“ he put a hand on my mouth to shut me up.
Wouldn’t mind if he had used his mouth as well..
Again .. shut up!
“Stop saying sorry. It was an accident.” He spoke calmly. “Now I’ll remove my hand and you will not say sorry again for that ok?” all I could do was nod, so I did.
