Book Criteria

Who will choose the book?

Reader of the month - The person who writes the best review for the previous month will get to choose the next book. 

The book you choose should meet the following criteria:

• It should be a complete work. Ongoing stories won't be accepted.

• All the genres are accepted except for fanfics (character x reader), short stories/one-shots containing less than ten chapters and erotica.

• Each book must have at least ten chapters with a word count of at least 1k per chapter (except poetry). If the chapters are too short, the book won't be accepted.

• It should not be a paid story.

• You must not choose your own book for the month's read. The motive of this book is to create a platform for the readers where they can express themselves and make new friends, not self-promoting. If you want to gain reads on your own work, you may check out our other project, PageTurners Book Club, where we help the writers to grow and develop.

• Please ask for the author's permission before recommending a book since all the authors are not comfortable with clubs using their books. Please refrain from recommending the book if the author doesn't wish so or if they don't reply within forty-eight hours of sending the message.

Any book which doesn't meet the criteria will be rejected and you'll be asked to choose a different book. If you fail to recommend a book fitting the criteria before the 30th of each month, you'll be ceased of the opportunity and the person with the next best review will be chosen as the Reader of the Month instead.
