Ever since the loss of Rostam, Signora truly believed that she would never love again, or find love again. Love was a topic that would occasionally visit her mind. But just because it entered her mind, didn't mean that she welcomed it with open arms.
Being a Fatiu Harbinger helped her keep that topic out of her head. Why would she need to love when she was already devoted to the Tsaritsa, the very woman who cooled her burning and helped her with her goal of wanting to avenge Rostam. She had one-track mind, and it would stay that way..... until centuries later when she met you. At first, Signora only saw you as a mere obstacle. Another nobody that she would have to eliminate in order to get her way. Though, there was a flaw in her logic. She soon learned that you weren't a nobody, you were strong, and quite the talented fighter.
Perhaps she underestimated you.
from this underestimation, a feeling sparked within her that she hasn't felt in quite a while.
curiosity.
She would find herself observing you from afar, her visible eye focusing on each movement you made. The women couldn't see how you managed to do quest for people who would take advantage of your willingness to help others. The quest weren't even significant. They were meaningless. You were doing pointless quest for answers that you would never receive.
You were her enemy and yet, something about you intrigued her in a way . If she were in your place, she would have already lost her temper and snapped . She was surprised at how you haven't lost it yet. Her observations would accidentally turn into "run-ins" with you. Signora would noticed how your calm demeanour would quickly turn serious and how your guard would immediately rise whenever you would see each other. Yet, with ever "meeting", you found yourself unexpectedly getting closer to the tall, blonde woman. Was this a part of some wicked scheme she had? Was this and order from the Tsaritsa? you weren't sure. But, you later found Signora's presences.....nice. Despite the fact that you two were enemies, she was staring to find your presences nice too. These feelings soon grew into something more passionate for both of you. Somehow, you managed to ignite a spark that created a flame in her icy heart. It had been 500 years since she's felt her heart jump. a look of pure shock grew on her face as she felt that warm, fuzzy feeling in her chest.
She was growing feelings for you. Romantic feelings that she wasn't able to ignore or push down. This wouldn't do, now would it? This wasn't how it happened in the books. The hero and villain were supposed to hate each other. The villain wasn't supposed to smile form actions the hero did that they found cute. The hero wasn't supposed to look forward to seeing the villain and grow attached to them. The hero and villain weren't supposed to gaze at each other one afternoon when the sun was starting to set. The villain wasn't supposed to gently lift the hero's chin and kiss them... and the hero wasn't supposed to kiss back. But you two did.
In public, you had to act as if you two hated each other's guts. But in private, you would chat and simply enjoy each other's company until midnight. On her visits, Signora would notice how more and more burned out you seemed, you were tired of the endless quest, the questions you had that never go answered. It was slowly eating you.
"I feel like I'm wasting my time at this point. Sometimes I even find myself fantasying about dropping my journeys and running away from everything. Is that bad..?" You asked your lover one night, as the two of you were stare gazing.
You heard signora hum as she turned her face towards you. "I wouldn't see why it is. You run yourself ragged everyday and only have people take advantage of you in return. Why not be selfish for once?"
Why not be selfish for once?
The atmosphere around you grew quiet. You thought about her response briefly. It wasn't like you haven't thought about running away before. Where would you go, you found yourself over a series of times developing an unexpected answer. "I think I might just do that." You answered. , returning her gaze. " that's quite the quick answer. Do you even know what you would do?"She asked, her lips forming a smile while expecting an incorrect answer from you. "I think so. I wanna be by your side, signora".
The blonde felt her eyebrows furrow " by my side? (Name) ... are you suggesting that you wish to join the fatiu?"
"I know it will be dangerous and I might not become a harbinger, but that doesn't change my mind. I'm confident in my fighting abilities, and I want to stay by your side." You insisted as you placed your hand on Signoras gloved hand. This left the taller women stunned, at least for a minute. She certainly didn't see this as a possible outcome. She wasn't complaining either.
"If that's what you desire, then I will try my best to get you accepted into the Fatiu." She responded , a smile spreading across her lips afterwards. Cupid may have been cruel to her in the past, but she felt as is she had finally had the last laugh. She would still avenge Rostam, but she would be doing it with you by her side now. Everything felt like it was finally working out right for her. " you will have to work your way up by ranks, but I'll make sure that I'm the harbinger you will serve."
"Welcome to the fatiu, my dearest"
