A/N- Y'all, don't be mad. Don't throw chairs at me.
Mitch's P.O.V
---------------Scott held my hand as we walked home together.
"Mitch, I know I told you that I could come over later, but something in the family came up. I'm sorry, babe," Scott said, looking at his feet.
"It's okay. Maybe tomorrow we can do something?" He nodded, "Yeah. Tomorrow." He let go of my hand and carried me to my door. I kissed his cheek. "See you tomorrow!" He nodded and closed the door.
I decided to call Travis and see if he wanted to come over.
"Hi, Mitchbox."
"Hi, Trav. Can you come over? I'm boorreedd," I said.
"Yeah, I'll come by. See you in five."
Not even a few minutes later, I heard knocking at the door.
"Travis!" I screamed, tackling him to the ground with my hug.
"Hey there, so I heard somebody's bored," he said, poking the tip of my nose.
"It's not my fault I'm bored! Scott couldn't be here because of some family thing," I said, picking my nails.
I heard some more knocking at the door.
"Scott!" I yelled, making Travis laugh at my silliness. I opened the door, only to be met by not Scott.
"You're not Scott," I said, narrowing my eyes at the man in front of me.
"I'm not Scott, but I am looking for him."
"Why?" Something about him just wasn't right.
"I'm just a really good friend of his."
I nodded, "Well, he's not here right now, but I'll tell him you stopped by. What's your name?"
"Alex."
I nodded again and closed the door, making sure not to make eye contact.
"Who was that?" Travis asked. "I don't know, his name is Alex," I said, trying to think of why he was looking for Scott. "Call Scott," Travis quickly said.
I dialed his number but he didn't answer.
"I guess he's busy," I said, trying to calm myself down.
"But, he would've answered you by now. Think about it, he would've at least called you back. It's Scott we're talking about. Let's just go for a walk. It might help you a little bit."
I nodded and started walking to the door. I opened it and Travis followed me. "Where to?" Travis asked. "Park?" I shrugged. We walked to the park, Travis trying to make me smile.
I turned the corner and saw Scott and Alex.
"Scottie!"
I thought he had a family problem?
"Scott?"
As I came closer, I realized that they were kissing right in front of me.
"Sc-Scott?" I repeated, trying to choke back the tears.
I gave up and backed away. I looked at Travis and he opened his arms with a knowing, sad smile. I ran into them and cried on his shoulder.
"It's gonna be okay, Mitchie," he said.
I nodded and looked back at Scott, who apparently noticed me and was starting to walk over to us.
"Hey, guys!" Scott said.
He leaned in for a kiss, but I moved out of the way so he couldn't.
"What's wrong, Mitch?" he asked, sounding worried.
Travis took a step back, knowing I was about to lose it.
"You think I didn't just see you over there!? You and Alex!? Why would you do this to me? You know I love you! You know I care about you! Why did you kiss Alex? Do you want me to be like this!?
To be fucking crazy about you, when you're over there making out with somebody else!Do you know what that feels like? Well, you never will because I'll never hurt you. I was fucking terrified that you would hurt me. And now... My nightmares are all coming true. So props to you. You're like a fucking tornado.
We're through."
"Mitch, I-"
"NO!"
He winced and looked down.
By now, the park's stares were all on me.
I turned away and pulled Travis with me.
Away from the fucking tornado.
