"I doubt a lot."
"What?" Cedric's smile turned into a frown. A loud thud was heard when the book he was reading was carefully thrown on the coffee table. He examined Harry by looking up and down, analyzing him carefully. He sat beside him, leaning on his shoulder looking snug as a bug in a rug. However, the unreadable expression he wore made him quiver with worry. Harry said nonsense a lot. Cedric learned to ignore it or try to answer any weird questions if he could. Harry's been saying stuff lately. He said that he doubts himself a lot plenty of times before.
"What is it this time, love?" he asked in an exasperated voice, his arms gliding over Harry's shoulder and bringing his lover closer to him. Harry shrugged and rested on Cedric. When Harry's lips parted, Cedric somehow knew what was gonna happen next.
"Sometimes, I think you lie whenever you say you love me," Harry said with sadness sprinkled in his voice. Cedric stayed quiet. "I think that everything is just a dream."
"Why would you think of something like that?" Cedric asked, pressing kisses on Harry's dark pitch black hair. "You know I love you, and you know I mean it."
"I do." Harry sat up and placed a soft peck on Cedric's mouth. "But I doubt a lot of things sometimes."
"Harry ..." Cedric looked at him, pouting and caressing his cheek. His thumb brushed Harry's cheekbone and he gave a small laugh, causing Cedric's heart to flutter with joy and melancholy. He hated how Harry can make him upset easily through words like these.
"Just how?" he said, "how can you be so dumb? You chose me. Out of all people you could've picked, out of all the girls willing to kneel down and kiss your shoes, you chose me. It's stupid really."
"It's not stupid, Harry," Cedric replied. He flipped Harry over and gently pushed him down the couch, Harry feeling his back sink in the fluffy yellow cushions. Harry shivered as Cedric left a trail of kisses along his neck. He rested his head against Harry's crook. The Gryffindor yelped when a set of teeth sank beneath his skin, nibbling softly. Wet kisses returned and Harry wasn't sure what Cedric was planning.
"I still think it's dumb that you chose me," Harry mumbled. "Without the 'Boy Who Lived' title, I'm just Harry."
A husky chortle made Harry tense. Cedric's finger lightly tapped the tip of his nose like a button. Arms held on his waist and the Hufflepuff's mouth continued biting lovingly on Harry's skin like a sweet treat. Even though he is one to Cedric's eyes. "Those are gonna leave hickeys," Harry warned, his hands weakly pushing Cedric's chest.
"Good. Then everyone will know you're mine." Cedric's reply was firm. He smiled when Harry moved his hands to comb his hair. Running his fingers along the locks, Harry grinned and sighed. He loved the texture of his boyfriend's silky hair. It was softer than any animal fur he's ever touched.
"But still," Harry murmured, "you know I'm just Harry, right? There's nothing special about me. I'm just an awkward and clumsy Harry."
"Oh I know," Cedric grinned. He lifted his head and captured Harry's lips, a knot forming at the pit of his gut. "And that's why I chose you. You're my awkward and clumsy Harry. You're my lovable and adorable Harry."
End.
