Gripping onto the mic, YongHwa glances at SeoHyun first and turns back to the camera to answer the question.
At that moment, even the other idols could tell that the air between the 'former married couple' was quite different and weird.
For the celebrities who sat there observing the 2 individuals, it was rather obvious that they indeed had something going on but it was almost like a unspoken rule among them to protect each other and understand the circumstances.
As YongHwa managed to explain that, they were going to perform the Banmal Song in return for the fans who have loved them both since. SeoHyun had managed to keep a straight face whilst listening to his answer.
Yoona, who sat right beside SeoHyun could only slightly smirk as she noticed the maknae's shaky hands. It was one of SeoHyun's weaknesses, her hands would tremble whenever she was nervous or felt threatened.
As YongHwa finished answering, SeoHyun nodded as a sign of agreeing with his statement. Unexpectedly, the mc had also asked her for words.
Cautiously turning around, SeoHyun avoided eye contact with her boyfriend and reached her arms out to politely take the microphone from him.
YongHwa carefully bowed his head and nodded as he handed the mic to her, indeed it was rather hard to be celebrities.
SeoHyun smiled as she faced the cameras and politely answered.
'Yes, well.... The program has already ended in Korea but it has only started to air here in Japan. As a sign of gratefulness to the fans of YongSeo couple, we decided to perform this duet to repay our gratitude for them.... Hopefully you'll all enjoy the concert later.'
Thankfully, everyone hadn't said something and the members of the press simply nodded and thanked the both of them for their answer.
As the press conference dragged on, it was finally the end. Soon enough, all the members of Girls' Generation were first escorted back out to their waiting rooms.
SeoHyun plopped down onto one of the dressing room chairs and lets out a exasperated sigh.
Noticing her tensed actions, Yuri and Yoona chuckle as they approach the female and pat her lap as a sign of reassurance.
Yuri breaks the silence and speaks in a low voice.
'왜 (wae)....? In my opinion, you pulled it off flawlessly maknae yah.
Yong SaBang also did quite well, although you guys have to be a lot less tensed next time. It's quite awkward and odd to look at you both trembling and sweating.'
Yoona chuckles and agree as she pats the maknae reassuringly.
'I'm sure everything will go well.... Don't be too pessimistic maknae yah.'
As the members start preparing for their performance later, SeoHyun slumps onto the chair and tries her best to compose herself for the performance later.
Meanwhile, a few doors down SNSD's waiting room. The members of CNBLUE sat on their chairs trying to get their make up's and hairs retouched before the concert starts in an hour.
As YongHwa sat on the sofa to catch hus breath, JungShin grinned as he broke the silence with his teasing voice.
'Hyung!!! You should seriously act natural.... Imagine how many more events like this you have to appear with SeoHyun considering the public' s interest in the both of you. And you call yourself an actor?'
Before YongHwa could even reply, MinHyuk chuckles from across the room and agrees as he joins his same aged friend to tease their hyung.
YongHwa couldn't be bothered less, and so with a single glare his dongsaengs shut their mouths and went on to do their own business.
Eventually, the concert starts. As the Kpop artists performed, the whole concert hall seemed to have gotten hotter and hotter.
The sound of screaming and cheering from the fans thundered and roared through the walls, causing SeoHyun to further tremble in fear and nervousness.
As SeoHyun finished checking her in ear monitors, she smoothened her white satin silk mini dress and walked out SNSD's waiting room.
YongHwa whom was waiting for her smiled and approached his girfriend.
As he stood in front of her, the male cautiously looks around first to see if anyone in particular was around them. After checking that the coast was clear, YongHwa daringly takes SeoHyun's hands in his and sweetly gazes at her.
'I'm here..... Who knows, this might be our last performance together in a long time.
Trust me and just enjoy the moment, Hyun ah.... okay?'
Putting all her trust on him, SeoHyun finally smiles and nods as she tightens her hold on his hand.
After their brief sweet moment, YongHwa gently pulls his girlfriend and leads her towards the entrance leading to the stage, in between though they had to let go of each other's hands due to the prying eyes of the staff on the venue.
And just as YongHwa had promised, the performance had went well. The couple had poured all their feelings into it.
It was one of the rare moments where he could subtly showcase his affection for her. He had took the chance to gaze at her whilst singing and even held her hands toward the end of the performance.
Of course, this action would earn shrieks of joy from the crowd.
As the music ended, the lights all die down and it was time for the next artists to perform.
Taking advantage of the moment, YongHwa grabs SeoHyun's hand and slightly leans down to peck it.
Although, this action did earn him a slight scolding. The male simply could not hide his glee to spend at least a small moment with her in public.
